    Hi all,

    I just wonder if any of you have found the same problem as me, we all know it's hard to get a job at the moment but 3 years ago when I entered the county had the same problem.

    Companies don't take you for serious because your degree is from another Country. I considered myself a very well prepared person, educated and with an extensive experience in my field, yet I hardly get responses from any applications and I have been not considered from others because they believe my experience in this country is not enough.

    Just looking for comments perhaps it's just me :unsure:

    green card from k-2 and SSN

    in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

    Hi all,

    My son is 10 and has his green card, I believed in order for me to submit my taxes including him as dependant of me, I had to get him an ITIN but my petition was rejected, IRS says he can get a SSN, is that right?

    I thought k-2 visas couldn't get a SSN at least that's what I was told by Social Security office previous to get our Green Card. But they never mention he could get the number after the Green Card.

    Now I am concerned, my tax returned is pending, I don't know what is going to happen, Can I get the SSN for my son or do I have to apply again for the ITIN and give more information to get it this time?

    If I can get my son's SSN how do I correct this for tax purposes?

    Please Help! :unsure:

    AOS Interview

    in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

    Hi everybody,

    We have our interview on Monday 28, I have everything ready but something is still in my mind, besides listing all sorts of documents to bring for the interview like passports, id´s, marriage certificate, supporting evidence, etc., there is a line that says ALL DOCUMENTATION ESTABLISHING YOUR ELIGIBILIT FOR LAWFUL PERMANTENT RESIDENT STATUS....

    Is it something else besides all the rest listed?, Do I have to bring anything from K-1 visa?, please someone gives me peace of mind, I just want to make sure I´m bringing all needed...

    Finally Interview Date

    Well my AOS was touched 3 days ago, finally and after 3 months from last time..........

    today i pick up my mail and there it interview letter for august 28th

    now i just hope i get my son´s interview letter too, he is 10 now (his bday was a week ago), and i dont know how it works really, i thought we both would get appt letter together but i only got mine...........

    anyway still very happyyyyy :dance::dance:

    Hi,

    I applied for my AOS together with my son's application. His application was returned back to me for some missing signatures. We resubmitted it, then I had my biometrics and he hadnt any (he is 12 yrs. old), but his sealed vaccination supplement was also returned to me, we ignored it, then I and my son received our appointment letters separately on same date.
