  1. Forgive my absence and negligence. I've been abducted and held captive by the absent Asia.
  2. Apparently every day is Columbus day in Poland. Good to know. We are beginning the planning for next years overseas vacation and Poland is on the list of possibilities.
  3. Nice picture. More books there than I have read in the last 10 years. LOL We stayed in last night. I got a great nights sleep, much of it on the couch waiting for the moment. Unfortunately I woke up at 1:00am and headed straight to bed. Today we visited my daughter and the newborn twins. Came back and had a traditional meal of hamburger and fresh corn on the cob.
  4. Please don't speak badly about our dear sweet Asia's sister.
  5. Really? You've seen her? bleach
  6. Counts the same as an upvote, doesn't it? (and I see Boiler has a nice lead at the moment) Nice job Ernest. As I recall, one is available. Comes complete with a dog and kids.
  7. Sounds like you had "hoof and mouth disease".
  8. Medication is available. Besides, wouldn't it be satisfying to pass along your sickness to the ex? Finally today my wife's family left to go back to their own place. I had no idea they would be staying so long. Guess there is a bit of a mean streak in me. I wake up early every morning, and Christmas morning I was up well before anyone else. It was all I could do to restrain myself and keep from moving all the (kids) presents from under the tree and hide them in a closet. Wanted to tell the little devil children that Santa didn't come, or at least didn't leave them anything.
  9. I could see that happening if someone were in a tremendous hurry to take everything off. Bun length is correct, BUT...NO KETCHUP ON HOT DOGS. EVER. Please man... I really don't know what to say...
  10. Yes, you are correct. (Except dogs. Love them) Thanks TBone. You know I do that on purpose just to see you "fix" it.
  11. Merry Christmas to all my VJ friends. And you too, TBoneTX. Sad news to report. They are still here. My wife's daughter and her husband and the two devil children. Thought they were headed back home yesterday, but it turns out they must have been planning to stay here all along. Even brought the kids "stockings" to hang on our fake electric fireplace, and had the kids gifts they ordered on Amazon delivered here. Don't know why I spent any time cleaning the house before they came as it is ten times worse now than before they arrived. Another day of drinking straight ahead. Guess I could head over to my daughter's house. The four week old twins are no problem.
  12. They came. I drank. They are still here. I'm still drinking...
  13. Good news and good news. Yesterday my son called and told me his 5 year old had been running a 102 degree temp and was now on antibiotics. Apparently an ear infection and they won't be making the 5 1/2 hour trip with an unhappy child. Today as we were in the middle of food prep, my wife's daughter called and said they wouldn't be arriving today (for the big meal) because her husband had sinus surgery on Monday and wasn't feeling well. Maybe they can make it tomorrow, or at least that is the plan. Called my daughter and she and the twins were fine and suggested we try for a limited get together tomorrow. No need for excessive drinking today. Feeding everyone cold leftovers tomorrow.
  14. Tomorrow we are supposed to have our children and their families here to our house for a gathering and dinner. My wife's daughter and husband and their two sons, 4 and 6 years old. Coming over from Parkland near Ft Lauderdale. My son and his wife and their two daughters, 3 and 5 years old. Coming down from Jacksonville FL. My daughter and her husband and their newborn twin girls, 3 1/2 weeks old. They live just under 15 minutes away. 3, 4, 5, 6 years old and 2 newborns. Think I'll start drinking early and often.
  15. Remember, it's not cat hair, it's kitty glitter.
  16. I don't know about the lemon cordial. I'd go straight to the limoncello.
  17. Well, over (or down) here we have to regularly visit the "Russian" stores. Actually there were two different Russian deli stores here but they both eventually closed down, so now we have to go to the "Polish" store to get her Eastern European treats. Fortunately there is a decent "Russian" store in Key West that we are regulars at. On the rare occasion we are on the other side of the state (Miami/Ft Lauderdale) there are several of these stores due to the very large population of Russians hiding out there at the beach. There are always bags of Pelmeni in the freezer and jars of pickled veggies in the pantry along with Russian candies (that are just so so) and very good Russian chocolate. Would write the name but my computer doesn't have Cyrillic alphabet.
  18. Apparently she is cute... And we know TBone loves kids and cats. Dog should be no problem. Besides, TBone is a successful business typhoon... Hey Vern, it's Ernest...(Ernest P Worrell)
  19. Our 16 year old Maltese gets her twice daily pills in peanut better, and LOVES it.
  20. Oh, you thought I was thinking about you? LOL
  21. Is she cute? I know someone that's available and looking.... (no, not me)
  22. Well, they didn't make it to Dec 9. After a few prenatal health episodes, the girls were born 2:29am and 2:30am on Sunday the 26th. All are doing well. Both of my kids have two girls, and my wife's daughter has two boys. They all say they are done procreating.
  23. Our Black Friday big take was mayo at the Winn Dixie to be used on the left over turkey and some shampoo the wife wanted.😒 Oh yes, had to stop at Walgreens to get cheater glasses for the wife because she is knitting and crocheting small items for the coming twins and left her others in Naples. Fortunately all stops were right on our own island and didn't even have to get out on the main road.
