I'm going to have to admit I am a BAD parent (and grandparent), but a wonderful son. This year because of a last minute (well, last weekend) decision, we decided to blow off my kids and grand kids for Christmas and head out of town to spend the holiday in the Keys, and took my elderly mother with us. The elder mother will be 90 years old in 5 months. She still has her mind, and gets around pretty well so we asked her if she wanted to go to the Keys with us. She was more than happy to go and get out of her retirement facility or "old folks home" as I call it. Did not invite my kids and their little ones. Didn't need that headache. Monday on the way home will swing by my stepdaughter's house and see the devil children. Turns out it was a good decision to come down as it is many (2x2x2x2) degrees warmer here. Even at that we just finally gave in and turned the heat on as it had gotten down to 68 degrees in the house. Unbearable. One downside, mom is driving me nuts.... but I am trying.

While I am not a big fan of corn dogs, I do love hot dogs with relish.

I don't think that applies to Canadians. Where I live, we have Canadian snow birds that are here every year. The important factor for them is that they stay just less than 6 months. They are here every year for just a few days short of 6 months.

Hope the credit card trick works. Also noted that the only windshield washer fluid that's available here is the summer variety that's only good above freezing. Got to find something to add to keep it from freezing. Gin?

Interim coach, no real coordinators, and the "star QB" decided not to play. And to add a little drama Satterfield left as our coach to be their coach next year. Still not too shabby. Will be interesting next year when Brohm takes over as our coach.

Here in Florida I have a huge number of very old and sick patients. I'm thinking of adding this service to my practice. Most importantly, I wonder how much I can charge. Money up front. No billing for services.
