  1. Broward Co and an oceanside sliver of Dade Co. Half those people are transplants from NY. And of course that's where she is from. (If you couldn't tell. LOL)
  2. Here you go. 20 banks that are sitting on huge potential securities losses—as was SVB https://www.marketwatch.com/story/20-banks-that-are-sitting-on-huge-potential-securities-lossesas-was-svb-c4bbcafa
  3. Transgender. Another manifestation of mental illness.
  4. Just have to ask, are you a REAL Texan??
  5. I don't know. I had trouble naming my own dog.
  6. Sorry, didn't finish my thoughts about my friend, the pediatrician. Office is in Houston, but he lives north some distance from work. He says it is better because when he is not working and is out and about he is not going to see his patients and their families. I can relate. As for large cities, the largest I have lived in is Louisville KY, which is many, many , many times smaller than Houston. I lived downtown next to the medical/dental school and next to the projects. That was ruff. Happy where I am now. See "Naples grabs No. 1 spot on this ‘Best Places to Live’ list"
  7. On our first trip to Texas ended up spending the night at a Red Roof Inn, Houston East I-10. I was kind of worried about the neighborhood and didn't sleep very well. One of our newer good friends in the car club is a pediatrician in Houston. Way too big a city for me.
  8. Guess you are just a big city guy.
  9. Yes, I have heard of that. Right now there seems to be more of a problem with flesh eating bacteria in the Gulf following hurricane Ian. No big deal. Just anther day in paradise.
  10. My "lawn" looks like the course at Augusta National also, but more like the rough and the sand traps
  11. Just wanted all of you to know this important piece of information. Sure glad I don't live in one of those California worst places to live... People who live in Naples already know it. But every now and then it's good to get a reminder that the popular Southwest Florida city, known for everything from great golf to great health care, is a fantastic place to live. According to Schoolaroo, a nonprofit educational research company and scholarship website engine, Naples is the No. 1 place to live in the United States. https://www.naplesnews.com/story/news/local/2023/03/02/naples-florida-chosen-best-place-to-live-by-schoolaroo-data-analysis/69946895007/
  12. So what exactly were they doing?

RSW Southwest Florida International Crowned Best Airport With a Rating of 8.06 /10
  14. Glad you got the job done. Saved me the LONG drive just to come and install it for free....
  15. OK, on my way. Wait a minute, where am I going to? I remember our first car club trip to Kerrville, Headed from FL on I-10. It was getting late and we wanted to stop, get something to eat, and find a place for the night. Got to Beaumont and didn't see any place that suited my wife to eat, so I said "we'll just stop in the next town". Little did I know the next "town" was Houston.
  16. I'd probably get lost on the way.... so many little hick towns in TX. Don't really know my way around much of TX, just San Antonio and the hill country.
  17. It's not a difficult job at all. Replaced mine last year and didn't have help.
  18. Thanks. I have a spare pre-owned toilet seat at home since I just installed a brand new one.
