I´m Uruguayan and really want Germany to win...cant stand Argentina hahaah. I know I feel the same, even though I received a RFE last week and was a bit bummed it was only for passport photos which I´ve already sent yesterday so I´m pumped. I´m hoping for an approval in the next two weeks. Trying to keep my mind off this process but its impossible. I´m just so anxious!!! Once I130 is approved, moving forward I´m estimating 4 months until my interview so I really am hoping to spend the holidays in Boston...so excited wow....wish you guys all the best and praying for approvals in the coming weeks. We can do this!!!!!

Im feeling that in the next 20 days we are all gonna get approved!! How do you guys manage the weekenda, I really dont like the weekends and where I live is too hot, 110 degrees and 90% humidity, if it wasnt because of the world cup ill be pretty boring, im just trying to change the topic, even though im sure everybody feels that horrible anxious/incomplete feeling. I want argentina to win but i think germany will kill them haha 3-1. And what about LeBron going back to cleveland, my hubby and I went to a game in january, we are fans of the Portland trailblazers. Hope eeryone a great weekend, next year around this time will be with our love one for a few months already!

Interview went well and my wife was given the immigrant fee handout ($165) with the A-number and DOS case number together with a green form which she completed putting down the DHL office where she will pick the passports.

So as naswagi, Aren and edna said in previous posts, the cost is not more than $250 unless there is something out of the ordinary. I will let you know how the interview goes. I am trusting that everything will be flawless! This journey has been long from the first time I submitted the N400. This race is not for the swift.....time and chance happens to them all.

Hi & congrats on your visa, as for the $165 immigration fee you don't pay this as it is only for people who have got a CR-1/IR-1 spouses visa. It's for the progressing fee for there Green Card.

I sent mine off last of march and haven't heard a thing . Texas service center from I have read is just slow . Possibly because they get the blunt of applications . I think from what I read most people wait til after their 5 months are up and then start calling .

You CANNOT withhold her green card. That is a sure way of getting into trouble.
As to the emotional part - at 60 you should know better than think a 30 yo is into you for anything but money/green card.

Yes, he will. Huge trouble. I am pretty sure it is a felony.

No I have a few close friends that are not in CSC and are weeks-months after mine. Although I am ecstatic for them..again its not justice. Check this out we are at the same TSC service center so what's up with that? Plus I saw some info where TSC were requesting to be given more petitions than they were able 2 process. The question that was on the table is.."why bite off more than you can chew?"

I can agree. I know many of us on here say stay focused, positive. I to am happy for every approval because at least that means somebody is working. But again when I see someone that filed waaaayyyy after and have not had to wait as long I do become very annoyed. I feel that I have waited, we are all waiting and being patient. So to say be still and quiet when injustice is being done is a lot much to ask although you don't have any choice because we are not the one in charge. I feel bad for those in front of me. Example how many of us would like to go to a bank to deposit money. Wait in a long line, get all the way to the front...a window with an available teller is freed, then all of a sudden the teller calls someone that just walked in from outside to that window. How many would be so calm about it? I know I am just venting and that's ok. It just sucks that their is no order about this long tedious process and we are all consumers. Ok.... now back to waiting

I must be honest.....I get sooo beyond frustrated when I see people who file after me get their NOA2's before me. Granted, I am happy for all those who can move through this whole painful mind game of a system....but seriously, they need to process applications in the order in which they are received, unless they have special circumstances for an expedite. Taking applications all out of order isn't helping figure out their code...

I guess things can be more complicated for the people working there to transfer the cases, but I just don't get how they seem to not realize they need to divide the workload better between the two service centers................... It isn't even like a month difference on processing time between the two. It's 3~4 months difference. That's just silly.

Frontloading can be both good and bad. Nigeria has come to know that real couples have taken to sending in mountains of evidence in an attempt to prove their relationships. Scammers have read up on this site on what to do and have followed the same pattern. So a heavily loaded petition can just as easily be a scammer. It is not such much the tonnage of your petition but the quality of what you submit. 6000 pages of phone bills prove you are both lack a real life, pictures of you both at family gatherings show you know the family. !00 pictures at a hotel in Lagos prove you have made a trip but he is hiding his family from you. Adding him to your car insurance speaks to manufacturing evidence, Writing wills shows life planning.

What rumour? I'm staying away from most threads for my own sanity. Tell me what you know!
I was thinking the same thing. Give the OP a break; I think he/she can say what they like cos they're at TSC and they know what's in store for them. It's irrelevant that they're one month in. One month in we were all thinking the same thing. Can we please stick together cos we are all in the same boat, regardless of how long into the process we are.
Now those at CSC are another story!!

I'm trying to figure out where in this topic the OP complained about not getting a quick NOA2...
I'm sure the OP realizes that the wait times between TSC and CSC are drastically different, they didn't make their account recently. So what if they filed a month ago, to me their post seemed like this: the OP knows they're in for a long wait since they're at TSC but they're having difficulty seeing the quick approvals from CSC. The OP is anxious and becomes more discouraged every time they see a CSC approval so quick, and all of us at TSC know how that feels. Despite the emotional torment the OP can't keep away, and the OP is looking for a suggestion on how to deal with this, or at least someone that can relate to their feelings.
(geez I said OP a lot, but I don't know what their gender is!)

If you have vaccination records to show that you got some of the vaccines they will document them and maybe only give you the ones that are required like the Measles Mumps and Rubella MMR (since in Kenya we normally get the measles vaccine only), a booster dose for tetanus TDap irrespective of whether you got it or not, Flu vaccine and finally Varicella vaccine if you didn't get chicken pox, if you say you got chicken pox they don't administer it and they don't verify it.

You pretty much described a day in the life of most TSC filers. It is a very painful feeling. Finding VJ was like opening Pandora's box, I personally just COULD NOT KEEP AWAY from here. With time you'll check these things less and less because you'll realize that nothing changes all that much. Try to check Igor's List only in the mornings since most approvals seem to happen late in the evening. If a fast approval on the TSC Igor's list is too good to be true, it probably so and don't check their timeline. VJ processing times don't change throughout the day so only check those in the morning too, though they're not entirely accurate anyway. And for the love of all that is holy, try to stay away from the CSC threads, or any thread that hints of a fast approval in the topic title.

I'm finding it really hard not to come to Visa Journey every couple of hours and stalk the forums, process times, and timelines. I'm trying to come maybe every other week, but it's like sitting on your hands so that you don't do something you know you shouldn't. I even make it my mission not to look at anything associated with CSC. Is anyone else having that problem?

Well they're wrong. To begin with it takes 1-3 months to get the green card not a few weeks. The fastest I've seen on the forum is 3 weeks but the average is 2 months, for CR1/IR1 and longer for other family types.

I invite you to read the line that says "upon endorsement..."
I can tell you that line IS absolutely, unquestionably, on the visa. A I-551 is a green card.
So that means when you POE, the CBP stamp the page beside the visa, generally write IR1 or CR1 on it, and put an expiry date of 1 year (minus a day of the date) you've entered.

USCIS will tell you that the K3 still exists because technically it does. In that, you can still file the form and have it processed by USCIS
People on this forum say that 'it's dead' because of the huge anecdotal evidence on here that has shown most of the K3s filed get closed before being issued in favour of the CR1.
Even if it's not closed it will probably not help you gain the benefit you are hoping for - that your spouse can join you earlier in the US - because processing the K3 isn't really any faster right now than processing the CR1
However every now and then on here someone tell us that it has worked for them and it has made the process faster - but those cases are very very rare now.
And if working immediately is important then the K3 is probably not for you as it means that your husband will have to apply to AOS on arrival and wait for a work permit (up to 90 days) and wait a lot longer for his actual greencard,

Don't take anyone's word for it, read the requirements of the I-9 which is the legal document required to be filed by all employers to prove the employee's right to work. Look specifically at #3 in the left column. Then read on page one Section 3, 1.
"Employers CANNOT specify which document(s) they will accept from an employee"
Your friends could have filed a formal complaint against the potential employer.
As to the K-3, 99% of the time the I-129 is closed either by NVC or the embassy. Very rarely is the K-3 issued as it no longer serves any purpose.
