I've just got a call from US Embassy to do my medical again. How long do they take to issue visa after the new medical. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
My husband got a call to redo his medical on 12/1. He redid it that day and I noticed our case status on CEAC change from "Administrative Processing" to "Issued" on 12/5. The Embassy called him on 12/8 to pick up his visa on 12/17. Hope this helps! Don't stress out about it, the waiting game is over and you're soo close now!

My wife was contacted through phone after 5 days of the CEAC update, Her CEAC updated on 11/24 and she was contacted on 11/29 and was told to go to the Embassy on 12/02. She was there and received her passport with the visa by the grace of the Almighty.
I sent the Dhaka Embassy an email right after the CEAC was updated. Please try to either call them or email them once every week. I hope your husband will be contacted very soon and will get the visa as well. They sometimes can fail to contact the applicant, so I suggest you to communicate from your end.

Hello,
the F2A category status for my wife has been updated to ISSUED in the CEAC website after the AP is over. The AP stayed for 5 months and now finally the status says ISSUED by the grace of the Almighty. We are very happy now but also a little worried about how long it might take for the Embassy to contact either me or my wife for the Visa pick up?
We will be happy if my wife can join me before the holidays. And also what will be the method of contact?
Please share if anyone have similar experience.

I'm in a similar situation with my husband's I130. CEAC updated to Issued on 12/5, but the Embassy hasn't contacted him to pick up his passport. Granted the following 2 days the Embassy was closed, but how long did it take your wife to have her visa in hand after the case status was updated online?

Hey,
My visa was issued on 2nd Dec. Exactly 4 months and 25 days later from my interview. First i got a call from Emb on 1st Dec, they said their extra investigation stuff was completed and as my medical is expiring within 22 days, i need to do it again, but if i can enter US within this period, then re-medical isn't required. I confirmed, i can enter by this time, and then on 2nd Dec they issued my visa and called me again today to pick up my passport.

Oh my gosh! My husband got a phone call on December 1st also! The Embassy said their investigation is complete, the medical is expiring on December 17, and they will issue the visa if my husband can enter the US before then. My husband said he cannot (2 weeks notice is not enough time!) so they told him to submit an updated medical, which he did on Dec 2nd. We'll see what happens. Hopefully the Embassy will give him the visa before the end of this year! InshAllah.

I really appreciate all your helps. Thank you again. I saw most of the people were getting approval today, I think they don't harass people without any reason. if you do not mind I have some questions regarding your husbands interview. 1. Why you applied so late? I can see you applied after 2 years from your marriage date. In my opinion if you haven't done so yet you should clarify and send the embassy one e-mail every weekend explaining why you are so late to apply and your future plans and how it's hampering your life, just keep in touch with them through emails. They literally take their emails seriously and always try to respond to them.
2. I did not see any rooms where you can sit and take the interview, in your review you said he sat and shook hands! This is confusing because there are 10 rooms and all the IO's are behind the window and you can't even touch them they have a whole under these windows for submitting the papers. They can even control this little whole under windows; they can close it or open it when they want, you can never insert your hand. I am just curious as I have visited the embassy today and I also have a friend who works inside I asked him about any room where people can have face to face interview, he said this can never happen because of security reasons they don't expose themselves physically to any applicant!
I might be wrong but just a little curious, if you don't want to answer want just ignore this, thank you again.
Congrats on your approval! To answer your questions:
1. We waited to apply because we were both students when we got married and I didn't have a job, and my husband couldn't leave Bangladesh without finishing his studies. We figured if we waited and applied closer to his graduation (May 2013), it wouldn't interfere with his studies. You think I should keep emailing the embassy? How do you know it makes a difference for a case in AP?
2. Maybe I misunderstood what my husband told me. I'll ask him again next time I talk to him and get back to you!

Hi all... Any update anyone...? I'm still in AP for more then 6 months. Anyways just to let everyone know... There is a person who got visa issued last 30th Sept. He was in AP from 19th March 2013 to 30th September 2013. Hope our turn might come up anytime... ?

What is the status on ainsn AP? I have relative who had interview on April 21st 2013. The Wife and Child got the visa but husband is put on AP. It is over 6 months, still on AP. Anybody has any clue?
Hi cmrahman. My husband is still in AP. Almost 3 months now. We're really not expecting to hear back from the Embassy until June or July 2014.

You can still use your passport if your case is in AP. I asked for my husband who is in AP and the Embassy replied stating:
"If your husband requires his passport for any purpose while the additional processing is pending, he may collect it from the embassy. In order to collect his passport he may come to the Consular Section on any Sunday-Wednesday between 12:00-12:30 p.m. at gate # 2. He should bring his blue refusal sheet (OF-194) and a copy of this e-mail as a reference so that we can surrender his passport."
Just make sure to return your passport to the Embassy once you're back from China. And pray that your case doesn't even have to go through AP, then you won't have to worry about this.

Not in AP, yet. Check my timeline and signature please, I listed myself in my previous post and updated it when I had the interview date but you deleted it when you added another person in the same list. You need to use the most recent list or the last list when you want to add. Thanks.
The AP tracker lists VJ members whose cases are currently in AP. It doesn't make sense to prematurely add your name to the list, which is why I excluded it.
