April 2003: Met through an online pen-pals website. We
became great friends and ended up visiting
more than not on a daily basis
July 2003: I travelled to England & we decided 'this is IT!'
We made the decision to start our family and
begin planning for what we call 'our forever'.
November 2003: and the scan says.....IT'S A BOY!
December 2003: My older daughter and I returned to England
and spent the holidays with Rick and his
family. Best New Year EVER!
January 2004: In an attempt to have Rick here for the
approaching birth of our son we filed for the
wrong type of visa (yikes!), were denied and
realized that we had a much longer road ahead
of us than we'd known.
April 2004: Our son, Maximillian, was born here in the states
May 2005: We travelled to the UK for 90 days to be a family!
August 2005: Yeah! We are having a new baby!
Boo...I had to return to the states and resume
working (just when you think 'goodbye' can't
get any worse, involve children.....some of you
will know what I mean!) We should be able to
file the K1 anyday now....or so we thought!
November 2005: and the scan says......pick out a name for
each gender. The baby won't turn so we
can see if it's a boy or girl. Rick is
CONVINCED it's a girl.
December 2005: WORST Christmas of our lives! I was too
far into the pregnancy with our daughter
to travel, Rick couldn't be here.
March 2005: Our daughter, Madeleine, was born in the states
April 2005: After a tremendous amount of stress, we were
able to retain an attorney to help us with the K-1
process. We were too edgy from our first
experience to do it on our own!
May 2, 2005: NOA 1, Nebraska Service Center
May 30, 2005: I arrive in the UK, with the kids, for 90 days!
WE LOVE BEING A FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
July 26, 2005: NOA 2, Nebraska Service Center
August 11, 2005: Received by NVC
August 15, 2005: Received by US Embassy, London
August 20, 2005: Rick receives Packet 3!!!!!!!!
August 23, 2005: Rick returns Packet 3 to London, overnight
delivery
August 27, 2005: I have to return to the states to resume
working (and a WHOLE NEW level of
difficult goodbyes has been reached!)......
September 12, 2005: Case shows as received in London
September 23, 2005: Rick goes to Edinburgh for the medical
October 3, 2005: We received our e-mail notification from
London - Rick's interview is October 11th!!!
October 11, 2005: WE'RE APPROVED - YEAH!!!!
October 19, 2005: We are to be reunited FOREVER!
November 5, 2005: Our wedding day - married at last!
January 17, 2006: Received NOA1 for EAD & AOS.
April 24, 2006: Waiting impatiently for that EAD!
May 2006: Received EAD card & applied for Social Security #
August 2006: Our twins - Scarlett & Warren - were born!!!
September 11, 2006: AOS interview tomorrow.....nervous!!!!!
