Here is how my cousin filled out for spouse and NVC accepted it...Maybe yours is also correct...Because your husband is the one immigrating you do not count him twice in the spouse spot on your I-864.
Your I-864 if you have no children or dependents:

Hello Everyone,
Require your help again. Part 3 of the I-864 (my form) as I am the petitioner for my husband.
Part 3 section 2.... do I check this box and fill the details of my spouse under family member 1 even though he is the only one migrating and there are no additions ?
You do NOT check the box.

what type of case have you filed? Immigrant or Non-Immigrant?I have my case number already and yet i cannot decide if we can schedule out medical and interview to the embassy. Upon checking our case status in online it says that (PLEASE FOLLOW THE INTRUCTIONS YOU RECEIVED FROM THE NVC FOR THE NEXT STEP IN PROCESSING OF YOUR VISA APPLICATION) the problem is we still dont have the packet. Should we need to wait for that before doung anything??

Dear Deathraaki,
Am very sorry for using your thread is just that am in the same level with you on the AOS form... We are having similar problems on the AOS form but i am able to complete some of the lines with the answers provided herein even though i still have some lines unanswered...
NRL and others am kindly asking for your help with some problems i have regarding the AOS form as am trying to fill it out in advance because i am staying abroad with my husband and sending everything from here...
I make no income currently since i am with my husband in his country but my uncle with his wife are sponsoring buth the file their taxes together so my question is on the AOS form I-864 number, PART 1
1e My uncle will be the first joint sponsor by ticking the box and his wife the second joint sponsor ticking the second box provided am i right here?
PART 3 Number
1. Yes i am sponsoring the principal immigrant in PART 2 because of me being the main sponsor even with no income but when my uncle with his wife filing out their respective forms i-864 and I-864A its showing their in as NO should be the box ticked as an answer in this case because of two joint sponsors... This confuses me so much because i keep wondering why will they both tick the NO when the both are joint sponsors. Correct me if am wrong and advice me why its like that if am correct please...
Another question is that it possible for my uncle alone to sponsor me even if he files jointly with his wife?
Am sorry again for using your thread
since they are filing joint taxes your uncle would tick the box iam the only joint sponser. Read carefully : _______ am the sponsor submitting this affidavit of support because (Check only one box). He would file I-864 and then your aunt would file I-864A because they are considered in same household. Also don't forget to include your I-864. And under part three question to that answer is yes.
-
Hi,
No worries. I am sorry I wont be able to answer your question as I don`t have more than one joint sponsor. Maybe other guys in the thread will be able to help you.
If not then do post your query at

hope you find a solution fast
Even if the intending immigrant is my spouse ?
you dad need to mention one for 1 for himself. one where it says if you are currently married enter one....and one on part 5 line one.
for your i-864...one for part 5 line 1 and one for your spouse...
-
Thank you very much. I will need a little bit of help for both (my dad and my I-864)
I am confused in Part 5 Sponsor house hold size in my I-864
under this options 3 says to enter "1" for spouse. As I am the petitioner for my spouse do I have to enter 1 here as that will duplicate him and I will end up with a total household size of 3 instead of 2.
Thanks
because you are filing different I-864's it doesn't matter. He would enter one for his spouse and one for intending immigrant.
On your you also put one for spouse and one for intending immigrant...

I spoke to an NVC agent over the phone Fri because my cousin got his interview date few days ago regarding Police Clearance Certificate. I asked it hasn't been an year yet so do we need another Police Clearance Certificate. He said I would just recommend it just in case the consulate asks for it. There are two things one is passport clearance certificate and one is Police clearance certificate...I would recommend that you get another Police Clarence certificate even though if it hasn't been a year...

Yes i will be filling out an I-864 for my self as well.
In my form Part 5:
1. as of part 3
2. yourself (Which is me) 1
3. If currently married, enter 1 for your spouse (As my spouse is already mentioned in 1. if i mention him here again then my household total will go to 3)
Please advise.
here is how it was for my cousin when he filed his I-864 for Spouse in India.
Part 5.
1. 01
2. 01
3. 01
4. 0
5. 0
6. 0
7. 0
8. 02
And NVC accepted that and we didn't get another checklist.
BTW his case just completed 4-5 days ago. Interview is scheduled at New Delhi.

Hi Jot 18,
So I will mention his income in my I-864. My husband has no dependents who intend to immigrate so I will only mention his details in Family section correct ?
Yes use his income as he is the joint sponsor.
In the part where it ask you for Sponsors household size it would look similar to this.
Part five Num 1. 01 as it is in of Part 3.
this applies to your Dad. Num 2. Yourself. 1
Num 3. Married: 1
Num 4:Dependent child 1 as you are only dependent child.
Num 5.Any other dependents 0 if none
Num 8. 4
Also i think you also need to file I-864 from your self.
send copies of IRS Transcript or W'2 for income proof.
-
If you are using your dad as a joint sponsor...income will be used from his tax returns. you can't put n/a...put his income. in the family section put one for the intending immigrant and dependents if applies and put one for spouse also...

This is your scan date. Around the 59th -60th day you will get your interview if your all documents were submitted. My cousins scan date was Dec 8 and he received his interview letter on 4th Feb I think...The interview is scheduled on Mar 27 at New Delhi.

My card had incorrect name and I filed I-90 with a fee waiver because USCIS told me it was error on my side when my uncle filed I-130's. I had sent my application sometime in May of 2014. I was requested biometrics on Jun 12, 2014. I made info pass appointment because it was taking so long and the IO told me just apply for N-400 and we will change your name there.

My cousin's scan date was DEC 8 and he just got the interview letter today...his interview is scheduled at New Delhi on March 27.

A new card due a change in immigration status, for example notifying SSA that you are now a citizen, does not count towards your 3 yearly or 10 lifetime replacement limit.
https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110205410
Also, my wife notified SSA that she was a citizen about two months after becoming a citizen almost two years ago. I don't recall her receiving a new card in the mail. Should the card have been automatic?
Most officers at SS office ask you if you need new card. If its in perfect condition just say no. There is no difference between the original SS card and the one you receive after becoming US citizen. I went with my aunt about 2 years ago to SS office and the officer asked whether she would like a new card or not. We said its in perfect condition and the officer said I won't issue you a new card.

Please update my info. NOA received today (2/2/2015.) The notice date printed on the letter is Jan 27, 2015 and priority date is Jan 15,2015.
Fingerprints appointment is Feb 20, 2015. I-912 (Fee waiver) approved.

Call USCIS and find out what is going on!
Thanks for the advice Kash. I did call USCIS and the agent transferred me to an actual immigration office because he said we don't have access to the database and it only takes 10 days to get NOA. The immigration officer was really nice and gave me my case number and biometrics appointment. I called USCIS in the evening around 4 PST. Then I came home at 6 and my neighbor gave me the NOA letter because it was delivered to their mail box. USPS has been delivering my stuff from last few weeks into wrong mail boxes. I will try to call them and get this fixed.
Me and my friend sent the application together and he still hasn't got NOA. hopefully he gets it by tomorrow if not I'll tell him to call. Here's my question since we sent applications together is there any possibility we will get biometrics and fingerprints appointment same day?
-
Did you track your application? If so, was it received? I would call and find out in the next few days!
my application was delivered on the 15th of January by USPS.
-
Is this usual???I sent my application before some people in the Jan's list and still haven't got NOA...its been over 2 weeks...
-
USPS tracking is really not worth it...First it was showing my letter will be delivered thursday jan 15...then it changed to jan 16...it hadn't been updated since last fri...I just checked now and it shows delivered on jan 15. I was really freaking out about my packet not being delivered..fingers crossed...hope I don't get RFE or rejection notice...i hope i get noa by end of this month....
-
Thank you. This helps. We may go to our local office if we would not find my card.
ask the neighbors around you...it must have been mistakenly put in wrong box...
-
Hello, will they stamp it even if the passport is expired?
I don't think they will stamp expired document. Just get a new passport then you can probably get a stamp.
-
Hello, the greencard that they issued is good for 10 yrs since we are married for over 2 yrs when we applied for AOS.
It really is crazy if we have to pay when its not even our fault. Good thing I have read it on their website that if the GC is issued but never receive it, there will be no cost.
By the way, how did your wife's passport get stamped? Did you guys just go to your uscis local office?
Thank you for your comment. :-)
to get your passport stamp, simply go to your local USCIS office.

What about when flying from LAX- NC I don't need to submit anything when I arrive at the NC airport?
You don't need anything other than US government issued ID to fly domestic or your home country passport. You can use your license to fly when you are in the US or green card when you get it.
I-864 most confusing form on the Planet!!! Solutions to confusions...
