EJ and I met in Makati City, Philippines. I had moved to the Philippines from San Francisco, CA to pursue charity work, helping hungry children with my band. Since being in a rock band and raising money for kids could not pay rent, I had to find work in order to support myself. I found a job working as a Marketing Manager at an ERP/eCommerce software company based in Makati City, which is where I met EJ (my husband). He was the IT guy in our office. It was love at first sight! I knew I wanted to marry him the moment I saw him :) So, we fell in love, tried to hide our relationship for a while and eventually invited everyone at work to our wedding, which was in Cardona, Rizal, Phils. Greatest day of my life! We were pleasantly surprised to find out we were pregnant with our first baby one month after our wedding. However, due to early pregnancy complications, I needed to return to San Francisco and receive special care from my doctors here. I have been separated from my love, EJ, since January 27, 2012, which was the beginning of my second trimester of pregnancy. We hoped and assumed EJ would have a visa and be in San Francisco by the time our baby decided to come, but boy, were we in for a ride! We spoke EVERYDAY via Skype since I left PI in January. He watched the entire birth of our baby via SKYPE, which was a first for the hospital I delivered in. We had a healthy baby girl on July 22, 2012. Our journey has been a long one, but worth it for our small, growing family <3
