                   3rd Nov NOA here. My wife's status changed yesterday to card being produced. But my step daughter who was filed along with her on the same I-751 form still shows the status as being fee waived.  My daugthers biometrics were done with my wife on Dec 5th. Would I get both approvals at the same time or different times? Also concerning is they still talk about Dec 3 2016 in their status. 

I had an NOA1 date of Nov 3rd. My step daughter was a minor when we filed the ROC. They both did their biometrics on 9th Dec 2016. My daughter status has always been:

November 3, 2016

We received your case and waived the filing fee

Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case

My wife has been approved but the status for my daughter has not changed? Anyone experience this before?

Congratulations. Did you status online say anything about moving your case to the local office? My case is at the CSC but the online status says the following.  My NOA is 1st Nov 2016. Hoping I hear something in the next couple of weeks. 

Is there anyone here whose case was transferred to the local office on Feb 26th who has not heard back from USCIS? There were a lot of cases sent to local offices on Feb 26th. Mine was also transferred to local office on Feb 26th. I have seen quite a few people from the Feb 26 move to local office group get approved. I have not heard anything back yet so am wondering if it is RFE time for me

I checked my mail and I have the same update. At least the last update gave a date of 28th March. This update has regressed and talks about them  having looked at my case on March 1st. I don't like the sound  of this. 

So March 28th came and rolled by. No updates and nothing in the postal mail. I read that some people have 2 WAC numbers. Where did you get the second WAC number from? The update below is from the my.uscis.gov website

Wait a minute! What is the deal here? If I am waiting for my green card and I file an N400 then I wont get a green card????? In that case I better wait till my family gets the green card. My step daughter who turned 18 cannot find a job since it has been more than 18 months that her green card expired and no one believes that her process is delayed. 

Thanks, Ksenia_O. For anyone else reading this thread, the USCIS officer told my wife that it would be 4 more months before she would get an approval. I know this is not what the October filers want to hear but at least there is some timeline. 

This is so messed up. My step daughter is 17 and will be 18 in April. I am so insecure about my wife only having a stamp on a passport that means nothing to anyone.  My step daughter's biometric appointment was included in the same letter as my wife. I guess I will wait a few more months. My step daughters passport has expired so that is something else I am working on. She cannot get an I551 stamped on her passport. 

My wife went for her I-551 stamp today at the Orlando office. She managed to get an InfoPass appointment last month. The lady stamped her passport but took the expired Green Card and the letter. My wife told her that we had a single letter for her and my step daughter but the USCIS lady insisted on keeping the Green Card and extension letter since they were past expiry date. Is this normal? 

Gotcha. I read NOA as Notice of Approval. It is actually Notice of Action. Thanks again.

Thanks, friends. I received the NOA a week ago. I'll keep checking the mailbox for my step daughter's approval.

There is no mention of my step daugther's name or Green card number on the NOA letter. I will get in touch with the USCIS today.

Hello! I have been browsing the forums but have not found a concrete answer. I filed the I-751 for my wife and step daugther (aged 16) together. I paid the biometric fees for both. The NOA I received from the USCIS extending the green card by a year only has my wife's name on it. I plan to visit Canada next month and am concerned that my step daughter may have issues coming back in the country. Will the border agents be fine with the my wife's NOA and proof that my step daugther is a dependent?

I will addl her to my accounts, deeds and create the wills before I send the I-751. I have till the end of October so that should be enough time.

To answer PostOakGuy: I am sure the USCIS will *eventually* give us the approval. However, I do not want to spend the next 3 years fighting cases, visiting lawyers, filling out paperwork. I would lose my job and sanity in the process. I have been through a K1 rejection before. It cost me a fortune in terms of time, money and stress. I think all my hair went grey with paper work and stress.

Christophec: You should be good. Joint lease and joint bills should suffice.

Thanks for your posts! I guess I have to make the best of this and move forward. At least she is with me. Since her Green card expires on 10/31, I technically have till 10/30 to file the 751. I see from Canadian Wife's posts that it took 209 days. Will she be out of status from 10/31/2016 till she gets the 751 approved? How does that work?

I just received a letter from the USCIS for the I-751 form which is due before 10/31/2016. I did not realize we would need so much documentation for the renewal. I only have a joint account with my wife that I opened earlier in 2016. We do have a joint credit card statements from October 2014 and tax return documents but that is it.

We did go for a trip to Las Vegas, Canada and a cruise in the Carribbean.

Now I will try to add her to the car title and the home title but I am really scared. Her Green card expires on 10/31. I plan to file the I-751 sometime in September after I have added her to my home and car title.

I had a K1 visa rejection after which I filed the CR1. We waited 2 years before she came here. One would think this would be sufficient. I thought I was past all this and only needed a form to get through.

Please help.

I scheduled the interview for my wife and it covered my minor daughter. I did not have to schedule a separate interview for my daughter. Hope that helps.

My wife is due to go to the New Delhi consulate on 22nd October for the interview. Our case was expedited from the NVC and sent to the New Delhi consulate. I have not been able to find the schedule of fees to be paid. I have not paid the AOS fees since our case was expedited. I did pay the fee for DS 260. Could someone point me to the link for payments?

Her posts on VJ need to be used as proof by her husband. I sure hope he sees these posts and shows them to the judge. This is ridiculous.

The New Delhi consulate does not talk about affidavits. How can people who have divorced on bad terms go around getting affidavits signed by their ex spouses. I have another thread where an individual who had the interview stated that he did not provide previous marriage certificates. I will go without them and see how it goes. I dont know what to do at this point because I know I cannot get the marriage certificates or the affidavits.

wow. 3 years. That is awfully long. Congratulations. I wouldnt be able to last that long.

Lynn n Sam, it is ridiculous. I see you have been through a K1 rejection like me. I have been ready to pack my bags and leave for good. A k1 rejections followed by another year and a half wait for IR1 has killed my spirit. Its a wonder that I am still functional.

Is the beneficiary a divorcee in your case? Since packet 4 is meant for the beneficiary, my wife needs the marriage papers. I will let you know what comes out of this. I just want this to end.
