  1. I am the OP

ustraveldocs.com says the passport is ready for pickup. every number I can think of to put in on supplychain.2go.com.ph says its invalid. My Fiancee is flying to Manila right now so I am unable to call her to see if she has received a text. Our plan is to pick up at the MOA. I do hope it is there, I will give an update as soon as I know. Hopefully by Wednesday evening she will be in Alabama.

  2. I am the OP

I just got off of the phone with the Embassy they would not give me any information other than i was in AP they would not tell me why just quoted the information that was on the web sight. reminds me of calling USCIS, I hope they do not try to mail anything to my Fiancee because she is no longer at the address they have on file as she was preparing to move from the PH. We have not gotten any emails from the Embassy. Does anyone have any ideas how to get in touch with someone at the Embassy that can actually find out more information than I can myself from the web site?

  3. My Fiancee had a successful Interview in Manila on June 25, no 221g was issued or any documents were requested. They kept her passport and said to expect a text from 2go when it was ready to pick up. We were planing a flight to the US next week but checking the status on CEAC it went from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing" I'm sure this is not good news. This afternoon I will call the Embassy to see if they will give us any information on what they need. Can anyone share their thoughts on what this may be and what should I do? Any guess on how long this will take?

    signed,

Murphy (If it can go wrong it will, if I'm involved.)

My Fiancee returned today to the CFO with her parents ID and photocopies of the ID (front and back) and also she brought a lot of confidence as she got approved at the embassy yesterday! And they gave her the certificate!!!! Looks like I was panicking for no reason, they did interview her again but she was strong and brave and it paid off. I think attitude is important at the CFO maybe some will give their opinions on this but I think you need to be confident and don't let them rattle you. If they see weakness they going to get you. I might be wrong about this so please leave your opinions to help others and correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for listening to my rant in the OP and try to understand I was angry when I wrote it but for future reference their is other ways out of the country other than a flight from Manila and Cebu. Lot of boats and airplanes for hire in PH but glad we were able to do things the correct way.

    Thanks again for your encouragement.

which office did ur fiancee went to? is it in Manila or Cebu?

    Manila

But when she needs to apply/renew her passport, being a fiancee/spouse of a foreigner, she has to undergo CFO seminar which is part of the requirement.

yes it is sad that something that was designed to protect Filipino could actually prevent them from returning to their country to visit their family and not allow them dual citizenship, seems like its doing the opposite effect on those they are running through the ringer. We are going to play their game until we are tired of it, the result will be the same we will be married and she will move here.

I know it's frustrating but the reason behind all these "harassment" is for them (CFO) to also protect the Filipina..

yes it has the potential to be of help but I truly feel that its all for show, If their were really interested in protecting the Filipina they should start with the ones living in the Philippines, The us has many programs to protect women from domestic violence but it appears to be out of control and widespread in the Philippines leaving the wife with no hope of escape. I think they should fix there problems at home first then when they have all the solutions fix the problem in the US.

I know my checklist is A LOT and some might think it is too much.

I think your checklist is great, I wished it had been easily searchable on visajourney. I done many searches for "CFO" never found it. wished I had been better prepared.

It would be nice if we all send them a message and express our views & opinions

I would not do it until AFTER you are approved. It seems they can act and do as they please with no rules and guidelines, we have a similar organization here in the US its called the Mafia

My words above are harsh and I'm sure I will regret it later, but please just think of my state of mind right now as I am making this post, Just to head off any accusations ahead of time, moving here without the CFO sticker is in no way shape or form illegal immigration. I am not breaking the rules of visajourney by suggesting me or anyone else should do it. I really hope we can do things without any shortcuts but hundreds or thousands have done it in the past and im sure many more will do it in the future because a power drunk organization will never be satisfied.

  6. please move this post to the correct location I could not find how to post directly on the Philippines portal

The CFO is requiring a copy of ID of my Fiancee's parents. She is under 25 so we did have a notarized permission/consent letter and every other document I have read about that they may ask for. I know this is just the beginning as when we give them this document they will require another and another. Can someone offer advice on what have been some request in the past? Or any advice on how others have handled it? Is their countrys a Filipino can visit as a tourist without a visa or visiting the CFO? Could a lawyer help with this?

Any advice you can offer would be great, my Fiancee is very upset right now as she thought the toughest part would be the Embassy interview and was expecting something different at the CFO.

    Thanks in advance,

    R

  7. We are planing my Fiancee to pick up her visa at 2go at MOA but after her interview she will fly back to Gensan and return to Manila in a week or so and pick up her visa, get her sticker at CFO and fly to the US. If some chance 2go gets the visa quickly will they allow a few days before it is picked up? How long will they keep it before returning it to the embassy due to it not being picked up? we will contact 2go at MOA and let them know we will pick it up but just curious as to what their policy is.

    Thanks for any help,

    R

  8. I think we are about 3 weeks from our NOA2 (K1) my fiancee is in the Philippines and she has to move to a different place. Will their be a need for me to update her address with USCIS? I don't think in the Philippines they mail out a packet to her we have to download it. but do they send anything in the mail to her during this process?

If I do need to change it can it be a P.O. box?

Thanks in advanced for the help

  9. They are slow but steady, when I first put in my timeline in October 2012 my timeline set my noa2 at April 15. It has changed several times but most of the people that had a NOA1 of October 17 got approved around April 20. It is funny how CSC was working petitions in 1 or 2 months when i filed then they stopped completely. A lot of hard work was done by many filers to get them going again now they have caught up to VSC and passed them in the dust. This is the craziest process I have ever seen.

  10. I finally got my RFE letter. It was about my fiance letter of intent. At first our letters were direct and to the point. We were advised my fiancee's letter needed to be "Our love story" so it was long and had many details. So now i'm mailing the original letter.

My recommendation is if you pay attention to the details file the petition yourself. I had everything in good shape but second guessing myself I hired someone to check my work. It took them an extra month to check everything out and they only made one change....you guessed it my fiancee's letter of intent. If I had just mailed it in myself everything would have been correct and I would have gotten my NOA2 one month ago, now including that month I figure we are going to be 3 months behind. and I would have an extra $400 in my pocket.

Pay close attention to the guides ,do your homework, ask questions and save yourself some money and heartache by doing this yourself.

  11. Out of my receipt "group" at VSC their was a 75% RFE rate. I was very careful on my paperwork and even had an expert check them over, they were perfect! But, I got an RFE on the 25th and another notice on the 29th. I'm suspecting there was some pressure put on the agent and it was easier to clear her desk by issuing RFE's than actually doing the work. I'm still waiting on the hard copy in the mail and I'm very worried about that because my mailman drinks for a living. My mail is about as dependable as mailing a letter to the Philippines. The approvals in my group was all on one day and 3 days later the rest in the group all got RFE's within a couple of hours. This is so frustrating.

  12. I think my RFE is for the same question, section C question 2. I failed to check the "no" box. I don't see any place to fill in anything else. Question 1. has empty boxes for the question on serving overseas in the military, that box should be "N/A" if your fiance did not serve. I'm glad you got the hard copy of the RFE, hope mine arrives soon.

How did you find out what your RFE was about before your hard copy arrived?

  13. I will give a guess that you do not want to hear. I don't think there is any way to really know. CSC is approving hundreds a day 6 days a week, this will cause a major slow down at NVC and also the wait on an interview I think will be several months. I wished the CSC director should be forced to hand deliver all of these petitions because it is a major mismanagement that caused all of this.

  14. I am October filer (October 17) I tried to submit a service request but they say I'm in normal processing times. They claim they are working on October 1 for me to call back in 30 days. I feel they are doing the minimum to allow CSC to catch up. At that time I'm worried both service centers will do the minimum in order to quickly process the undocumented democrats. I know the dream act does not make them citizens but another presidential order will take care of that, I'm happy for the dreamers this is a great country but in the end they are just being used. My fiancee is having a difficult time I do everything I can to help her but she is suffering in order to marry me. The only thing I have to do is wait but she had to live like a slave because of me. K1 and marriage visa processes need to be changed. I know the process is designed to reduce fraud but it has not reduced any fraud. We are just a few in the eyes of politicians, It took a huge amount of effort and stress for the CSC filers to get anything done just to be treated fairly but in the end they will be forgotten about and it will be up to another group to fight again later.

Everyone who has gotten their NOA2 with the help of a congressman should tell us their story so when we go to the voting booth we can help re-elect those that have information to help our group. Also those who have gotten their visas should stay active and support those who are still in the process. If we all band together we could have a voice and get things changed. I am going to commit to support this cause even after my visajourney is complete. Can anyone else make this commitment?

  15. You have been separated before and during that time your husband was preparing a home for you and waiting for your arrival. And now again I'm sure he is preparing a place for you but when you see him again you will never be separated. I am sure you made him so happy and he did not have to be alone during these difficult times. You were a gift from God to him and you are doing God's work here on earth. You will be blessed and you will have your reward when you see your husband again he will be happy and healthy.

The next few days, weeks and months are going to be difficult for you, try to be strong. Your husband would want you to have a happy wonderful second life like you gave him. I too one day will leave my Jeymarie here on earth while I prepare for our second meeting and I don't want her to shed one tear and I want her to have nothing but smiles on her face everyday. I'm sure your husband wants the same for you.

  16. I am convinced this is an intentional delay. The workload is the same they are just taking several months to do the work. Essentially they are just 6,7,8 months behind on the work they are required to do. Expedites is the entire problem. There are people getting their K1's from application to interview in less than a month. If everyone had to wait the same and expedites were eliminated the "important people" would make sure the process got changed so it would be quick for everyone. This process is severely flawed if the wait times and requirements were actually preventing fraud then it would be worth it, but there will never do the things that would actually reduce fraud. Instead we wait in a queue for someone to do about 20 minutes of work when actually this should have been done the day after they got the application. What is there to do? we cant actually go to their competition for faster service.

There are people getting their visas faster but they are not the type of people that read and post on groups online. I wished I had done me homework a little better and educated myself a little more. I am not a wealthy person but there is many things more important than money. A judge or government agency in charge of family decisions and they make these decisions like they are ordering lunch and with no compassion I don't know how those people sleep at night worrying about the decisions they make.
