  1. Congrats Everyone that has been approved!!!!

I have a question maybe someone can help. I am going to the Philippines in Dec. to be with my fiancee for her interview and hopefully bring her home with me. Because of her Japan police clearance we have no idea how long it will take for her to be approved. My question is; Do I need to have a return flight to enter the Philippines? I am aware of the free 21 day tourist visa and that I can extend after said days. Can I get say a 2 month visa in the states before I depart just so I dont have to fly back to manila after the 21 days just to extend? Any advice would be great. thank you and good luck everyone!!!

  3. Sorry, I can't retrieve that link. If that is the actual page with the deposit slip, it can't be linked. It generates a new slip with unique number every time you click the link to generate one. This is the page: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

I assume you already went there. If you scroll down and click 'Deposit Slip-$240 MRV Fee', it generates the slip. Print it. Yes, you bring this slip to BPI along with your passport and case number. The way they did it for us is the bank just printed receipt on the back of the customer copy of the deposit slip. The receipt number on the deposit slip was the same as the bank's. When we scheduled online, the receipt number was accepted. I know it used to be passport number, and maybe it still is for some consulates. However, the deposit slip has only been in use since September. As far as I know, you schedule with the unique receipt number of the deposit slip. Just check to see what numbers are printed by the bank when you pay. If the receipt number doesn't work, try your passport number.

Thanks ToddnJessa. Will do that in a bit. Goodluck to the both of you and to all of us here. :)

  4. Received my MNL number 7 days from NOA2 by calling NVC. That was 10/17. Called NVC this Monday, and they said case was forwarded Friday 10/19. I emailed the embassy. They replied saying that the electronic file has been forwarded, and the actual paper package will follow. There were a few dates to schedule in November and several in December.

No, what you should do is call back NVC in a few days. Keep calling them until they can give you a date that the case was forwarded. They forward an electronic copy of your petition before the actual petition reaches the embassy. You can pay the fee as soon as you have your case number. The receipt is good for one year. You should do your medical after you have an appointment scheduled as this will be asked at the medical. Just make sure your case has been forwarded to the embassy, and schedule out at least a couple of weeks from that forward date so you know the petition will be there when you get there.

Congrats to the filers that got their approvals!

Thanks Todd and Jessa. One more question, Is this the link where you got the USA Visa Deposit Slip? --> http://ustraveldocs....try=philippines . If it is, then all I need to do is print it out and give this to the teller then pay the Visa Fee right? Then they'll give me a receipt with my passport number as the receipt number.

    Thanks,

  5. The 'Guides' at top will tell you what the next step is. :) You wait for the NOA2 letter to arrive in the mail. Then, about a week after that, you can begin contacting NVC to get your case number. NVC will send a letter informing you of the case number as well as informing you that the petition has been sent to the consulate. You can also find a 'K-1 flowchart' chart in the guides that shows estimates and each stage of the process. For Manila, you can find the forms and documents in the instructions listed on the link in my signature.

    Congrats!

Thank you so much Todd&Jessa. This is really helpful. Goodluck to all of us!

  7. I got approval on Aug 16 and my fiancee got visa approval on September 7. She will be entering POE on October 5 :dance::dance:

Hi Mr. Smiley, Congratulations! I would like to ask about the medical exam of your fiancee. Our NOA1 was received by Vermont dated April 23, 2012. Our NOA2 expected date is the last week of OCT or first week of NOV. I've seen that there were like 15 vaccinations needed for us to be approved of our medical. Can you verify this please so I can start having those vaccinations if ever all of it are needed.
