K-1 at the end is more expensive, and the time? it depends, it can be almost the same. I think CR1 is a better way. I´m finishing my process with CR1 and CR2 so, i can help u, I have a young child too... and ya, you need to be sure you child´s father will authorize your child will leave the country. I know (from other experience´s mom), getting problems with this.
