No the marriage certificate is never asked for, the UK government has no right to it. If she has lost it then it can be replaced, all copies of Birth, Marriage and Death registries are kept at Somerset House London.
*Tracy little know fact, all Birth, Marriage and Death certificates in England are kept at the above address, as far as I know this has been the case for over two hundred years, so yes it would be kept.

Yes she is completely WRONG, what you have read is RIGHT, the people at USCIS have no clue what the immigration procedures are what so ever, your approved application does go to the NVC and yes you do pay the fee. Then it gets sent to the London Embassy, when it is sent to the Embassy they will send your husband package 3, this includes details on the medical and what he has to do to book it and what forms he has to send back to the Embassy including the police check, I would suggest your husband inquires about the police form asap that way he has all his ducks in a row.
Best of Luck

Personally NO you did not make a mistake, you were never denied entry into the USA at any POE, you were just denied a visa. I would do exactly the same as you have.
Best Wishes

I agree with Rebeccajo, don't let yourself become trapped with the *I must get a job symdrone* I know from experience that the right job will come along and you will be more satisfied with waiting.

You two have to be deeply in love to get back on this merry go round.
We are deeply in love, I have loved Jon since the first day I saw him

By "State Department" do you mean NVC?
No the State Department is different.
Nicole it is up to the individual, personally I would send all the required documents together.

You have a RFE coming your way, it depends how fast you can send the RFE back as to how long you will be waiting!!!!!

The laws in America are different, I once heard a case where a man owed for a car loan in Hong Kong, went for a vacation to America and POE refused him entry because he owed on a car debt, this was on BBC radio 2 a little while ago. So you see the law is an ### when it suits lol.

Jon is going to send in the forms for myself and my daughter tonight Hopefully it will be ok for us. I will let everyone know how everything goes.
Just to let you know I sent away for my new passport (with married name) and it only took 4 days, I was thrilled with the response from the passport service.

Hello Liam
I'm sorry for all that has happened, I know you went through it a bit just to get to America to be with Lisa, is there no chance of you two working it all out?? I am not quite sure what your options are but whatever you decide I wish you every happiness.
