How do I start? Well let’s make it short and sweet...I applied for a fiancé visa September 2010, a couple months after getting engaged in India....In July, 2011 when it came for my fiancé to have his interview, in India, he didn't do so well and failed. The embassy denied our case stating it was probably a fake relationship... I have no family residing in India, I had gone there only to get engaged with my mom in tow, and I was heartbroken…. We had waited about a year and to get him over here, and it turned out to be an epic fail…. The lawyer advised us to go to India and get married….I refused to give up my efforts in having my family and friends be a part of my special day…We continued our special efforts and were unsuccessful… My mom was diagnosed with cancer February 2012, and would have to undergo treatment and surgery April. It was one of the saddest days in my life….She wanted to be a part of my day without worrying about her illness… So we scheduled the wedding on March 19th, 2012….I wanted to be there for my mom, for her surgery, but she just wanted her daughter to move on…. So we proceeded and unfortunately it was last minute and my family members did not get the opportunity to schedule or save enough vacation to participate in a destination wedding. Let’s, not forget to mention, that school was in session and a lot of people can’t afford to miss that many days. My parents accompanied me and within one week we were married…My parents left 2 weeks later, I was mortified, and scared of being completely dependent in a country I’ve been to once for 20 days. No family support other than in-laws and my husband… I was destined to stay there months (it was an wonderful experience), so we would not go through the same problems with the embassy again…So it seems as though for the past two years I’ve been just waiting to start my life with my now husband….. I just don’t want the embassy thinking its fake… Especially after spending money on tickets and a wedding there… The only thing I can’t complain about is that my family ended up saving so much money then having our wedding in the states….That ended up making the experience a lot better…I just want to have him come here so I can officially start and not postpone school or employment and especially my life any more…. I want to wake up every morning in my husband’s arms, not just have a relationship over the phone……I want him to experience a new country (US) through my eyes the way I did when we got married….
