If I had to return home 6 months after approval, could I? Sorry for all the questions...
It depends on how long you take to get your AOS, but I believe it is possible... see below
This general guides apply to people who are required to file for Adjustment of Status once they enter the US to maintain their legal status. This applies to certain non-immigrant visa holders with a K1, K3, and others.
Please read the Step-by-Step Guide to AOS:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos
Please read the Step-by-Step Guide to getting a SSN:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=ssn
Please read the Step-by-Step Guide to getting an initial EAD (if not filing with AOS) or a renewal:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3ead
Thankyou!!!!!!!

Its just a form stating that USCIS has received my petition and is now going to be processed...

Would it help the process if your fiance works for Homeland Security??? And one other thing, can you apply for a tempary working visa while awaiting on the K1?
-

Staying in the US
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
I was hoping somebody would know the answer to this question,.. I have my stepsons here in Caifornia and they are born in Canada, my 14 year old has a american father and the other one does not. I was hoping that I could just file for their visa while staying in the US instead of going back to Canada to do the interviews. Does naybody know if that can be done????
Save a trip to Canada!!!!!
Thanks in advance to any replys...
