  1. in my experience, my husband received a NOA2 first int the mail then followed by a letter from NVC...the letter contains....."Dear petitioner: " saying that NVC has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance.....etc....etc!!! then the name of your faince wil be written, the receipt number with a barcode below it then the case number....usually start with MNL then followed by 10numbers.and below is written "The case will be processed at Manila U.S Embassy! and another what was written there is she needs to wait to recieve a packet with instructions......but you don't have to wait for that packet...when you recieved your NOA2 she can now schedule and appointment for medical and interview.....send her the copy of NVC letter and NOA2 and that's all what they will ask at St.Luke. I waited 4 months for the packet and no packet arrived!!! LOL! hope this will help you!

  2. I did not received a packet,I wasted 4 months waiting for it when all I need to have is my case number and NOA2,I emailed NVC and they told me that I don't need to wait for the packet because they no longer send,I don't understand,so I immediately made an appointment interview online and printed it and when to my medical and the next week to my interview.

  3. Yep!! That's exactly what ours is saying as well, I keep going on the USCIS site hoping that it will be at least under "initial review" but atlas, still nothing after these 5 long months, but I definitely understand your frustration, all the work put into filing and getting every tiny bit of information together only to play the waiting game again! I think the only good part about waiting this time is at least we are waiting together in person and not seas apart =\ Just know you aren't alone! Maybe we will be lucky and it will go straight from acceptance to approved and GC is on the way! (We can hope!!!)

Oh!no! how I wished!!!....my friend told me it can be that way! yes, you're right! more important is we have done our part! hopefully,we will receive news next Month! :crying:

  4. We are in the same situation! We filed 8/7/12 and got our First NOA 8/13/12, his biometrics was 9/5/12 and now...nothing :( I was wondering the same thing, but I keep trying to be patient, but its definitely easier said than done. You're definitely not alone in your timeline and on the waiting times!

we have no choice but to be patient, but can't help asking!...so it would somehow lessen my worries  I just wished they wouldn't ask for interview anymore! I checked my status online but it's still on "Acceptance" .

  5. It's been 3 months now since my biometrics and until now I don't have any mail or news from USCIS,I checked my status online and still in acceptance....I'm wondering now if it's normal?...Lol....because my friend who lived in Arizona is done with her interview but I filed earlier than her...I live in Fl,so I'm a little bit worried....Please,is anyone here had the same experience?should I be worried?.. :help:

  6. Hello everyone, I called NVC today and was given our embassy case number. Please can anyone tell me what happen next ?

    Thanks.

do you have your NOA2 already? if you have it then you can schedule your visa interview online...if you don't have it yet,you need to wait til you received it on the mail....then make an appointment..if they told you that they are going to send you a k-packet then try to wait....but for me,it took forever...I didn't received it.

  7. Hey everyone, first off I think it is great to have such a resource so thank you to everyone who helps out!

Today I begin the K-1 Process, I am filling out application now, and I am following the guide for the K-1 for the first leg of the process.

Now i remember reading the the USCIS website, that you cannot get married. Which makes perfect sense to me since the point is to bring your fiance over not your wife/husband.

My fiance's family however want us to have a "ceremony" in a church when i next fly to my fiance's home country. Not a legal registrated wedding just the ceremony. I told them, i do not think it is possible. Is this correct or no? They just want a ceremony in their home country since most of them wont be able to make it here to the U.S . My opinion is dont risk agitating the process by having a church ceremony, but my fiance wants me to find out if it will have a negative affect or if we can in fact do a ceremony.

What do all of you think?

that's what you called "Covenant Marriage" yes you can do the ceremony!! just don't tell the consular about it because they will not acknowledge it....and don't show the pictures, that's what we do....in respecting my family and my beliefs, we do the covenant marriage, and hey.....it's not just a ceremony...it is between you,God and your fiance...it won't have negative effect...We did it and I made it here!!

  8. Hi does anybody have an idea how long do they issue ur visa? I had my interview last friday and found outmy medical results were not yet in. weent over to st lukes and found out the doctor failed to sign my report since she was on emergency leave.

called st lukes yesterday and told me they have forwarded my results to usem. how long should i wait for my visa to be issued?

    thanks to you all. :)

I got it after 3 days of approval.....don't worry it will come...along with your sealed envelope...

  9. I'm impatiently waiting for my noa 1,because I have made a mistake on I 485 annd I know it. However it will be a week tomorrow and still nothing. I feel like my immigration skills are rusty. How long does it take on average to get noa 1?

did you received notification through text and email? cause they send me that they already received mine and they gave me my receipt number and they said they will follow the copy on the mail...and then I got it. I hope you will received it soon.

  10. :help: My case was completed on August 17th and the month is ending tomorrow I have not received the INTERVIEW date as of yet. I called and emailed NVC and Consulate both of them only say I have to wait. :crying: Please does anyone know how long does it usually take to get a response....I am going crazy waiting for it. Our first anniversary will be in October and I wish he was here with me already so we can celebrate together...Please share your story with me if you are in the same boat or if you waited for a long time

we received NVC letter too,but no appointment packet come to me...what you can do is try to call USEM and ask them if your case is already in their system, if they have it already you can schedule your interview online now...because you cannot schedule your appointment if they don't have your case yet,if you already have your NOA2..there's a possibility that your case was already there, you don't need to wait for them to send you an appointment....because I remember....last year we wasted 4months waiting for them to send it but nothing come until I emailed and called the Embassy and they said they no longer send appointment and that they already received my case the time I received my NVC letter and I can now schedule online....very confusing but better to follow up
