Thanks to SCOTUS for deeming DOMA unconstitutional, my wife can file for Adjusted Status. We were legally married in Mexico City in August 2012 and filed for a change in status July 10, 2013- just a month and a half before she was to return to Mexico from her year long sabattical in the US.
We are grateful that she is able to stay rather than continuing our four and a half year cross national relationship! So much nicer to come home to each other every day.
