  1. Why is it unethical? Immigration is a privilege, not a right. The CO doesn't think you have a bonafide relationship, I would be suspect as well. Getting engaged two days after you met for the first time in real life, is not normal. As @SalishSea stated, you need to spend a significant of time IRL with your partner before you apply for anything, especially after you were denied once already.
  2. It literally isn't luck. She has to prove that she has very strong ties to home, if not she won't get a visa. Period. Luck has nothing to do with any of it.
  3. Nope, luck is not involved in any way, shape or form. Having VERY strong ties to home is the only way she'll be successful.
  4. *Hassle. Each state has different requirements for Medicaid. If the mother has no income, savings, investments, or assets she MAY qualify. Just because you mother did, in a totally different state, with a far different financial situation, does not mean his mother will.
  5. Green cards are for living in the U.S. Just sayin'
  6. She has no legal path to stay here, she has no choice but to go home. Why would she have "financially crippling bills later" and "get crushed" after a 2 month marriage? Am I missing something? I'm confused by these statements. She's entitled to nothing.
  7. I'm pretty sure no one wants to separate you, they're merely suggesting it as an option. And honestly, if my child had such severe ADHD, I'd make the move for him. It's only temporary and in the best interest of the child. I will add, my 26 year old son is autistic, I do know what it's like to have a child with learning challenges, I've been living it for a long time. You can bet that I would have temporarily separated from my spouse if it meant he would get the help and education he desperately needed. In fact, before my now husband and I married, I told him I would never consider moving to his home country based on the fact that my son is autistic (he also has a central auditory processing disorder) because they don't have special needs programs in the school system there.
  8. Why can't you work from home in a studio?????????? My husband just flew home this week from Jordan, his first flight was delayed so he missed his connecting flight. He literally worked remotely from his PHONE stuck in the Vienna airport for almost 2 days. Either your husband is making unreasonable demands and/or you're making silly excuses on his behalf. When my husband moved here 12 years ago he didn't care about the size of my house, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, porch, back yard or car. NONE of it mattered because he came here to be with ME, not with the square footage of my home. He also made a concerted effort to get his drivers license, which you husband needs to take the initiative to do. These issues aren't related to immigration, they're marriage related. Perhaps marriage counseling...
  9. Many states REQUIRE you to have insurance, Massachusetts is one of them.
  10. Follow the guide at the top of the page.
  11. @Crazy Catgave you all the info you need, I just wanted to say congrats!! To keep your mom protected, make sure you get her health insurance ASAP.
  12. It's illegal for him to work in ANY capacity from the U.S as a visitor, INCLUDING remotely. Period.
  13. It's difficult to answer your questions when you're not giving us any real details. How did he get to the U.S.? (a visa, did he enter illegally) Where are his parents? How old is he? I suggest you have him set up an account here so we can understand what he's actually looking for.
  14. No one here can tell you if you'll get an expedite, but as others said, it's free to try. Pretty sure even if it's approved, two months is cutting it close.
  15. We can't give you an answer unless you tell us the visa category.
  16. Won't hurt to try.
  17. The simple answer is no. And no one can tell you how long AP will last.
  18. No one is judging you and no one is telling you what you should have done, people are merely telling you the facts. You came here asking for help, we're doing our best to do so. No need to get angry at people who are giving you very good advice.
  19. Green cards are for LIVING is the U.S. Period. End of story. No one here is going to advise you how to game the system.
  20. It depends on why she was denied. If it was because she didn't have enough ties to her home country, there shouldn't be a problem. If she lied (misrepresentation) on any of the applications, yes, she could absolutely be denied. Just because someone else filled the forms for her, does NOT mean she isn't responsible for any falsehoods on the applications as she signed them. Without knowing the reason/reasons for her denials, no one can give you an answer without it being pure speculation. The only way to find out for sure why she was denied is to file FOIA.
  21. Yes, because a green card is for living in the U.S. She must spend the majority of her time living in the U.S
