  1. same here. it has been a week from status change to sent to DOS. I have heard it takes 3 weeks to create a case, and then from a week to 3 to send to the consulate. Depending on the consulate. I understand it is advised to send a public inquiry to the NVC at 3 weeks. They reply in a week, with the status, or sometimes they give you the new case number, which you can track on the tracking NVC site.
  2. I use "the other" tracking service, and I see that there are still 36 cases on received state for that day. I totally empathize with you. The wait is excruciating.
  3. I have a couple of questions to people who already have had this stage recently. My case was forwarded to the DOS last week. The DOS timeframes web page shows 3 weeks from receiving to case entered/creation. Do they email you and mail you the letter with the case number right away when then create the case? I understand it then takes a week or two for them to forward the case to the embassy/consulate. Do you also get an email when they forward it? or do you have to then check the status on the status web page? Can you go into the appointments page as soon as you have the case number and book an appointment? Can you fill the DS-160 online right away after only having the case number? or do you have to wait for the consulate to contact us first? Thanks in advance!
  4. Copy clearly. I did not know answering the question of what tool I as using to track my case was spamming. I would think if the tool was mine and I was benefiting financially from it, it would be consider spamming. How would I best answered the persons question? "I cannot tell you because I will be banned?" I am not trying to be difficult, I am just trying to figure out why it was considered spam? also, the person who asked must have deleted their message with the question.
  5. kids under 21 at the time of marriage get to go through adjustment of status
  6. In the recent ********removed*******, they have the following paragraph: "Transfers to the Department of State's National Visa Center have also slowed in the second quarter, tacking on an additional 2 months for cases post-approval. Cases that are currently being sent to the DOS (NVC) have spent a total of 8 to 11 months at USCIS, with a median wait time of 9.3 months" I got very anxious reading this. Does it really mean that once getting the NOA2, it takes a median of 9.3 months wait after? ridiculous We are NOA1 of December 10th 2024. Still waiting, ** says we are 2700 cases from the front of the line. So maybe 2 to 3 more months wait if they dont hurry like the do sometimes, or more if they stall more. So after that, another year?! to just being out of USCIS? what is your experience? (well, now things are different anyway) Alos, my future step son is 20 yo. we were hoping to bring him over. At his rate, he may turn 21 before they can come, and we need to be married before he is 21. So he might not be able to come over. What a nightmare. I am just really venting, but thanks for commenting your thoughts and experiences.
  7. Update: I received a reply from Lockbox support with my case number, and the person replying said they would reissue the NOA1, so we'll see if I get it in the mail soon.
  8. I am doing the same but my fiance has spanish citizenship. I believe it does not matter, and you just go through the process and pick Madrid as the consulate to apply for the visa when the i-129F gets approved.
  9. happened to me. NOA1 must have been lost in the mail. I did not file form G-1145 which is the only way to be notified electronically. See below thread. I emailed the lockbox support and just this week after a month and a week received an emial saying they will mail another NOA1, and also gave me my case number. I have not updated this in the thread. I am waiting to receive the new NOA1 in the mail. Since after 30 days they had not replied, I Called the 800 number again and after a few tries with the automated system, I could talk to an agent and she gave me my case number. They usually do not re issue the NOA1, that is what the gal on the phone said, so I was surprised when the person who replied from the lockbox said they would. Good luck!
  10. Yeah, they did have it. I have never had this issue before with important mail. I did hold my mail but it was 13 days after the NOA1 date I got, so it is unlikely the hold mail was the issue. USPS just lost it probably. She said they do not send copies of the NOA1, but I would think they should for NOA2. And, I have now added the case to my online account, so I think it should show up there.
  11. I wanted to give an update to this thread. I called USCIS @ 1-800-375-5283 and after going through the automated system a few times, and a couple of calls, I was able to talk to an agent who gave me the case number and receipt date! She said they emailed the notice. Must have got lost in the mail. Thanks guys!
  12. Hi everyone, I still have not received the NOA1, and I did not file the G form electronic / text notice so I do not have the case number. I called 1-800-375-5283, and the automated system says to email the lockbox at lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov I did, and the automatic reply says they would respond within 30 days. 30 days is this weekend. I will try to call again next Monday.
