  1. Hello, Review there is from my ex-wife's experience in 2011. Is there a way to clear it out?
  2. Thank you so much! I tried to reply yesterday but my account for some reason wasn't allowing me to post anything.
  3. How did you get this email sent to you? Did you send someone at the Consulate an email and get a response? Others in this thread state no emails are sent at all, period. Can you please clear this up?
  4. But people on this site specifically talk about receiving such an email and using it as proof at CFO...
  5. Mine is the same. Will I get an email saying it has been transmitted to Manila? Or a letter?
  6. Got it. What will I receive and how if they accept the registration? They called me to clarify some things two days ago (I had indicate we were both married, since we are - to each other! - apparently I was supposed to put single for her divorced for me. He corrected it, said he'd call me again of any other questions. Tonight, the return package is tracking. How do they notify that it is accepted? In that return package? Another letter? An email?
  7. Understood, thanks. Do they ordinarily send an email acknowledging receipt? I didn't get anything.
  8. Does the SF consulate typically send an email acknowledging having received the packet, and if so, when? They received it two weeks ago, no email, original documents not returned yet. I ask because others have reported receiving an email acknowledgment of receipt. Thanks.
  9. Hello, Should this go in part 9 of the I-130, or as separate attachments? Ditto for previous petitions, there's only space for one, I have two. Also, do I have to write N/A or None in every non-relevant field, e.g., additional relatives I'm petitioning, translators, etc? Thanks!
  10. Thoughts on this requirement - since it doesn't exist in the real world? "US Marriage License/Certificate (extended/long form indicating number of marriages contracted by both parties)" I've never seen a marriage license in the U.S. that includes this information.
  11. That's just the thing - for us, being together ASAP is the priority also. Which is why I'm so torn about which way to go. Most people seem to say to stick with the CR1 despite the horrible delay. I'm feeling doubtful and uncertain.
  12. Understood, but it seems to be longer for CR1 in Manila than that average, and shorter than that average for K1... I do see your point. I'll have to tell Krissy. Two years is a long time when you're young. For me, not so long...
  13. I would prefer to do the CR1, but over 2 years to complete this process seems completely insane. What the devil is going on with that? Rhetorical, I know no one knows. These agencies seem to have no accountability whatsoever. It is hard not to think less than a year is superior to 26 months plus!
  14. Hello, I am preparing to file a petition for my girlfriend. I have been through the process twice in the distant past, once for a K1, once for a CR1. I filed these my myself, in 2004 and 2010 respectively. Both succeeded. I am up to date on the processing times, particularly the insane situation with the CR1s. I am turning over in my mind which path to choose. I am visiting her this week for 15 days - we previously spent 7 weeks together last year, and will spend another 16 day together at Christmas and New Year. We would either file fiancee upon after I return from my visit, or marry via Utah virtually during my visit. If it makes a difference, I have multiple previous marriages: the last, which was the CR1 visa, lasted 14 years. Also, if it makes a difference, I am 57, Krissy will turn 21 during my visit. Any thoughts or advice would be gratefully accepted. Thanks, Jon
