Sofia and I met shortly before I left Chicago, in the summer of 2010. Despite only knowing each other for a few weeks, we discovered intense feelings for each other, fast followed by love. Ever since, we have managed to see each other every three or four months (U.S., Brazil, France), and meanwhile, as difficult as the distance makes it, it's been only pleasure to maintain and develop our relationship through written correspondence, happy Skype dates, and the occasional, cherished visit. In fall 2011, we made the big decision, and got engaged!
