  1. Mrs. Mnez, I think what you will find happened is that because you have an expedited case, the NVC sent the paperwork directly to Manila to be treated as a k3 Visa. You can still expect to wait some time for your interview (k1 seems to be 4 months right now).

Konfuz, as my experience has told me so far, just be patient, I know that is very hard to do. If your case was completed on Dec 8th, then in reality you need to expect a May to June interview date.

Classic, June to July should be your magic month.

I know this is not news you want to hear as I also was told how long it will be and I still got excited everymonth only to be let down. Even now I am frustrated beyond belief with this process and I already have an interview date in two weeks.

Everyone keep your spirits up I know this is the hardest thing we have ever done, but if I can survive two years of this waiting (and I am horrible) then I am sure with VJ help and support you will also be OK. I am always here to answer any questions and to update what happens in a PH interview for IR1.

    Love guys

    Brian

  2. I have a question, I have received my Interview letter for my wife who lives in the Philippines, along with he letter came the list of what to bring and where to go for a medical etc etc etc. However what was not included that I thought would be is the Medical date.

I have read so many k1, k3 people talking of a medical date and also more forms that needed to be submitted in the packet? Is there another packet to arrive and also will it arrive to me in the states or to my wife?

    Thanks for the help

  3. I have received the appointment letter for my wife today in the mail and was shocked not to have receivedd a medical appointment letter as well. I am wondering did any of the others receive that information? Or do you think another packet will be sent to our spouses as well?

Good luck to everyone, I will be sure to post all that happens so that those waiting can know what to expect.

PS the packet received from NVC contained:

    Cover letter

    Appointment Letter

    Vaccination Requirements

Document Requirements (interesting note new i864 info is required to include this tax year of 2005)

Medical Letter stating that it is required one week before appointment and a map but no specific details.

A notice of fee changes, if you only paid nvc 335 instead of the 380 you will need to pay the 45 increase at t he embassy.

    ;)

  4. Thank you all for having pity on me hahahahahahhaha. For those going to the Philippines (Classic) there is nothing we can do but wait and wait and then wait some more, I have often though of not checking the NVC anymore to see if changes my luck, just wait for the letter to arrive, but as usual I get excited the second to third week of the month like everyone else does and call just to be dissappointed, angry, and frustrated again. All I can say is keep up the hope they cant ignore us forever.

For those going through different embassies have faith, remember my wait will not be yours unless you are going through Mexico. The Philippines is the largest immigration origin in the world and 60 percent of all visas issued this year will pass through that embassy, so your wait should not be as long :P .

Again thanks for all the well wishers and friends on this site, I would have lost my mind many many months ago if not for this site  .
