Well better safe than sorry! Once all documents are in the same name you'll be more at ease. Hang in there
We had a similar question as you. My Chinese wife and I just traveled (01/15-31/2011) to China for Chinese New Year. She came here on a K1 visa on May 26th, we were married on July 31st, and applied for her GC, EAD & AP on Sept 8th. She received her EAD/AP on Nov 21. Her passport & visa are in her maiden name (Huang Danying). Her SS card, EAD/AP, State of Indiana ID, are in her married name (Danying Huang Broertjes). Obviously our marriage certificate has both maiden & married names. I purchased her airline tickety in her married name. We went to the3 airport (Chicago Ohare) and spoke to both American Airlines & the TSA and they advised us to bring all of the above documents with us and there would be no problem. They said people get married all the time and the name issue is a common concern.
Passport and GC in Old Name; ID's, SSN Cards, Credit Cards are in New Name: Safe to Travel?
