  1. Hello everyone, I would like to know if anyone had an experience with inquiry about tourist visa issuance by the Paris consulate. I'm a US citizen married to a French citizen. We live in Paris. My US employer asked me to move temporarily (6 months) for a work mission, and my wife would like to join me. While she could enter the US with an ESTA, to avoid having to leave after 90 days, she applied for a tourist visa at the Paris consulate. She had her interview and was barely asked any questions before she was given a paper saying that her visa was "approved". She did not have a chance to ask the consular officer about processing time but asked a French employee inside the consulate who told her that it should take 5-10 days. It's now almost 3 weeks since the interview and the application status remains "approved" on ceac.state.gov and the indicated last case update is still the day of the interview. Does anyone have any similar recent experience with the Paris consulate? Is there a way to call/send an inquiry to the consulate? Can I send an inquiry on behalf on my wife as a US citizen? Thanks in advance for any insight.
