Ewen and I met on an Internet music discussion forum early in 2005. We fell in love, talked constantly, and sent about a million e-mails, cards, and packages until Ewen got here in April!
After spending 3 weeks together, we were of course heartbroken at the thought of being apart again, and after some discussion, decided to apply for a K-1 visa so Ewen could come here and we could get married...and start a new life together. :)
Our initial "visa journey" took exactly five months, all told. We filed our I-129F petition on 8 July at VSC, and Ewen had his interview in London on 5 December, with visa in hand on 8 December. Ewen arrived in the States at Newark on 17 April 2006, and after some delay, we married in Brooklyn, NY on 27 December 2006.
AOS approved, believe it or not, 2 April 2007. Green card received 16 April 2007. Free for 21 months to live happily ever after. :)
