  1. We will file tomorrow, my 5 month mark is today ! No way we will wait more and more everytime they change the processing timeframe. We have waited long enough ! We will even get my fiance congressman involved since we have nothing to lose. It's time some politician know how inneficient the immigration process is in usa.

Yes. It's terrible. This is the last week before I go on the offensive too. After this week, it's into 160 day territory. My 5 months is tomorrow (Received on the 18th) NOA1 was 1/20...It's really crazy that we have all waited so long..I'm hoping they'll surprise me this week, and I won't have to think about this anymore..But I'm going to prepare for the worst. Because it's just be one disappoint after another with this process. Never seen anything like it.

  2. Today mark my 5 month and even though they just change the processing timeframe to 5.7 months we will do a service request and get my fiance congressman involved in this ! Enough is enough, i don't see why people have to pay for their inneficiency. We've been all really patient and their stupid game must end !!! Good luck to you all

Tomorrow marks my 5 months =/

The good news is that the USCIS processing time table is still at 5 months for VSC. USCIS National Average has been 5.7 for a long time. So don't worry. VSC is still at 5 months. Hopefully we'll all have good news this week. It's really time for this to be over. I hope that the week gets off to a good start. We had one really good day last week..But it's really not going to be enough to condense the approvals into one good day. We need to be see at least 5 approvals each day just to keep pace..Need some consistency here..blah...

  3. National avarage processing time is 5.7 months. You're still within this processing time... I don't think you're going to achieve anything by contacting your congressman before you significantly pass that avarage mark. Patience is the key, there is many of us who filed long before you , who are still patiently waiting, I suggest the same :) it's hard, I know, but there's nothing else you can do for the moment...

Yes. All we can do is hold on. And hope. I really hope this week is it for me. Tomorrow is 5 month mark. I would be thrilled to have NOA2 by the end of the week.

  4. Aside from our 129F and all the other related docs... our proof of meeting and evidence of ongoing was a 12 pages of pics, boarding passes, passport stamps from the 4 trips we had made at time of filing. I did it all up in a .pdf file.

Now I am just adding to it.. the 2 trips since filing and going to start printing skype logs, phone bills, text logs etc.. to prepare for consulate interview.

I am sincerely hoping that we get our NOA2 before end of June because our consulate in Montreal is extremely slow and I am really hoping to move by Oct 1st. I keep praying everyday for NOA2 for all of us here on this thread!

I feel terrible for the members here with the slower consulates. It has been an agonizing wait. We lost about a month with the slow down at VSC. CSC honestly looks to be in better shape right now than Vermont. If you look at the number of unapproved petitions. Most importantly, they seem to have approved in a more consistent way. Really hope the next 2 weeks won't disappoint us. I can't imagine how much of a backlog will grow if they don't start moving with adjudications. It needs to stay consistent.

  5. Uh... *cough*... that was me

I'm sure it was well-organized Photomile. The average person might not want to send anything like that in however. It just slows them down because they are looking for very specific information. But again I think it depends on the consulate. high fraud consulate it might be better for front loading so that before the interview they have had time to examine the evidence. When I submitted the petition I was told to focus on quality and brevity. USCIS is all about confirming a meeting within the past 2 years and some basic relationship evidence i.e. photos together. I think my submission was probably about 40-50 pages of various things. I probably didn't even need half of what I included. I think I remember a couple veteran users from VJ that only submitted a single photograph and some irrefutable evidence of meeting (i.e. boarding pass, passport stamp, couple receipts). It would be interesting to know what a lot of the RFEs end up being for. The relationship is primarily evaluated at the consulate. USCIS job is very simple. Background. Meeting. And maybe a little evidence of ongoing.

  6. I remember someone saying their packet was 150 pages. Did that one get approved yet???

Wow. that's crazy. USCIS is looking for very basic information (confirming a meeting within the past two years. They should have saved most of that for the interview. But I guess it can be consulate specific sometimes with the front-loading. I have a feeling today will be a much slower day (it is a Friday afterall..) But hopefully we'll see a couple people get something today. Wish they would hit the 1/20 NOA1s. Feels like we've been idling around forever.

  7. Does anyone know if theres a possibility the Jan filers will have to wait 8.5 months or is that just for the new applicants?

Jan. 3, 2012 I-129F Mailed to USCIS Lewisville, TX

Jan. 4, 2012 Delivered at 11:47 in LEWISVILLE, TX 75067 to USCIS . The item was signed for by J ARTHUR. Sent to Vermont.

    Jan. 8, 2012 12:40AM NOA1 (notification by text)

    Jan. 10, 2012 Touched

Jan. 11, 2012 NOA1 hard copy received in mail.

Processing time at VSC for the K1 is 5 months. It was never 8 months. When you're beyond 6 months then it's time for service requests and congressional or senatorial inquiry.

  8. they just like to worry ppl to death.yesterday and even this morning i called and they said we r still processing Jan 1 petitions, and at 5pm i got off work with a text message, checked online and it was approved.keep ur heads up, it was so hard for mi, and the strength some of u show, u guys r much stronger, keep giving all of us great examples to follow n i hope everybody gets approved soon now...sure seems that way

haha. yes. It's obvious that the CSR had no valid information on what was currently being processed. Luckily, it's all behind you now. I'm sure it's an amazing feeling. Can't wait to experience it myself. Anyone who survives this process has amazing patience. Everyone here should be commended for it.

  9. Perhaps "operating incognito" will speed things up?

ha. I can only hope so. Wanted to get a new avatar up here. Anything is possible at this point. Thanks for the info earlier on the embassy. Maybe our girls will be interviewing around the same time. It'll be interesting to see how long this NVC phase will take. But luckily Kiev has such a fast turn around time.

  10. Wow congrats guys!!!

I've been busy so had no time to check on you. I just logged in and what do I see? :) wow finally!! Vsc is making some progress:)

Okay i don't have noa2 yet but at least I am headed to the airport and be with my love in 22 hours! Yay

Hopefully there will be more approvals tomorrow! :)

I think next week will be a good week for us. They seem to be breaking into the middle of the month. And now my VJ timeline shifted ha. I'm actually within range again. It's nice to look at it and no longer see the dates having passed. Just something comforting about it.

  11. Flipped open the iPad one last time before bed and...... THE EMAIL!!!!!!! Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shaking and crying and best of all got to turn to Andrew and kiss him right away.... On our 3rd anniversary, no less!!!!!!!! What an amazing week - all we wanted was noa2 by the time he left. Amazing feeling. Hope you all get to feel it soon. Thank you so much for all your support, what an amazing community we have created here!

Congrats again! Kittylondon when you put your receipt number in at USCIS what did it list as your receipt date? I understand your NOA1 was 1/13. What did it list on the USCIS?

  12. Yes and hopefully no RFE for you! What makes things worse is not knowing what the rfe is for until we get the hard capy. Dont know what would be worse, if its for something or lawyer forgot or something immigration lost! Just wait and see i guess

Yes. It is always possible that they lost something. I'm prepared for anything at this point. It does look like VSC is coming to life now. Quite a few approvals. 6 timelines updated so far today. Welcome Back VSC. Welcome Back.

  13. So i hadnt logged on in a couple of weeks. Seems like a lot of crongratulations are in order! Unfortunately we just received an RFE on the 13th, exactly 5 months and 1 day from our NOA1... kind of upsetting,The forum has grown about 50 pages since i logged on last and i didnt get a chance to read through them all. If anyone got an RFE recently can you private message me how long until you received the RFE response after mailing what they needed? please! i would greatly appreciate it

Ah. sorry to hear about the RFE. We're all hanging in there. 151 days? hmm. looks like quite a few people have been hearing something around the 150 mark. Gives me some hope at least.

  14. I think i'm as excited as if it was my approval! Seriously !!!! 5 months and 9 days... If we are approved within that time too ( by the end of June) , that would mean moving in September!!!

I'm hoping this is the start of many many more adjudications for all January filers who have waited so patiently. Come on VSC get through us all before end of June. You can do it! ha

  15. WE JUST GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I think this goes to prove that having your Congressman call to see the status of your case was no problem. If I do not have approval by the end of next week, I will be doing the same. At least to know that it's in the hands of adjudicator will alleviate some anxiety. You a star. ha
