  1. Congrats to you! :)

We are also waiting on an interview to remove conditions. How long did it take you to receive your interview date? I spoke to an immigration officer a few weeks back who told me that there would be more and more interviews as part of a new quality control process, even if you have enough evidence. I guess its something that anyone filing an I-751 can potentially look forward to.

    Thanks :D

Our NOA was dated Mid February

Notification that we would be receiving an interview date dated April 30th

Actual interview appointment notice dated July 30th.

I can't find the Biometrics appointment letters, but we did reschedule it once.

Does the actual 10-year GC come within a few weeks? We may be planning a trip out and want to figure out if we need to make an infopass appointment for the passport stamp.

  2. We live in California and it was a relatively easy process for us the entire way through. My wife's 2-year GC expired early May, 2008, so I submitted the I-751 in early February. I don't have all the paperwork with me, so I can't quote exact dates.

She got the NOA and biometrics appointment within a reasonable timeframe, but we had to reschedule the biometrics because of some conflict (probably a business trip of hers). Rescheduled appointment was about a month later, and after that, we received a letter saying we need to go in for an interview and an appointment letter will be sent to us at a later date. BTW, we did get "interviewed" as well for the initial 2-year GC, but wasn't asked any kind of personal questions about our relationship. In and out of that one in about 10 minutes with a very friendly USCIS officer.

Our final interview was this week and again, it wasn't much of an interview as we weren't asked any kinds of personal questions about our relationship. I was looking forward to the interview just to see what they'd ask, but no luck there :P. The officer was again extremely friendly and asked for any additional evidence, which I provided to him (bank statements, tax transcripts). He said he'd work on it and have a decision by the end of the day. We were in and out of the "interview" in less than 10 minutes! We had actually shown up early for the interview because it stated to come 45 minutes early for security processing, but we actually left the building before our scheduled appointment time.

Received the approval notice in the mail yesterday (2 days after the interview) and are now waiting on the 10-year GC.

This forum has been an invaluable help to us through the whole process from getting my wife's K-1 up until this point.

  3. We have the vaccination record that was completed as part of the K-1, but it's not sealed in any way. We made a photocopy of it with the AOS application.

We never completed the vaccination worksheet as part of the application - just submitted the photocopy of what was given to my wife.

Should we just bright the unsealed vaccination record with us? My main concern is that it says "sealed". How would we go about getting it resealed?

  4. My wife has an AOS interview coming up, and one of the things it asks for is the I-693 and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted).

She came on a K-1 visa, and they gave her the original vaccination supplement, but it's not sealed in any way.

What do we need to fulfill the requirements here?

Also, is the Affadavit of Support I-864 required again? We sent it in with the original application.

    Thanks!
