We met in January, 2011 and after 8 months of waiting, emailing, and talking on the phone, I was able to travel to Cuba on a study visa, and we spent a month together. It was then we both knew it was the real deal. Our love grew and grew. I returned to Cuba in December and we were married! Many people have a favorite song....but we have a favorite word....esperar! Fortunately for us our love is strong and we both have a great sense of humor. I filed the papers in January when I returned and traveled to Havana for our interview. (We were both interviewed) We were approved and the rest is history. He arrived in the US in October!
