This site has been really helpful,i thank y'all for your responses so far.I have a question,The Catholic Charities helped me file for VAWA since june 2011,got 2 prima facie's,but on the USCIS site,no touches or anything.I suggested to the Lady handling my case with Catholic charities,if she could write a letter to USCIS to ask about my case,she said it is not necessary. Will it be wise if i write a personal letter to the immigration asking about my case without the knowledge of Catholic charities?

i got the letter in mail...uscis website its still at initial review....nothing changed

Exactly ten days . Good luck believe it or not I have my ticket and I'm not going till summer so excited.

Oh she received her oath letter today its April 19 thanks guys now we can go ahead and plan our vacation.

Oh yes her husband is at Fort Campbell I just told her to call the military hot line for help by the way did you receive your letter as yet I was telling her about you and that your oath ceremony is April 20. She got the same email you received . Thanks for answering .

Thanks Jess that's what I told her but her local office is 4hrs away.let's hope she receive it soon . USCIS said it was mailed Mar 21 don't know if anyone has an experience like that .where the mail was not sent out as stated in the email.

Just got a note from USCIS. My EAD is renewed and they will mail me the card soon!

Good news my friend.

If you call customer service, the first thing they will say is "allow 15 days for delivery."

They already did that is so funny and then they told her to wait 30 days.

We need some urgent help my sisters online line status reads oath ceremony schedule and a notice was mailed well that was last Wednesday March 21 it's now over a week and she still hasnt received it she is very worried as there is a oath ceremony coming up for April 20 , she did call yesterday and they said yes it was mailed but she has to wait for thirty days can she make an info pass to see if they can give her a print out. Oh she lives in Clarksville Tenn. She had the interview in Memphis . Any advise is greatly appreciated thank you.

Ok so my sister got an email on wednesday the 21 that she is now schedule for oath ceremony and that they send her a letter with the info but she hasn't received it as it and usually it only takes three days for her to received a mail from USCIS so she wants to know if that's normal ?

i am very stressfull because after i got my vawa approved in december 2011 i did not get yet my interview notice, what i should do? it is this normal? my case was transfer to my local office in january2012 and nothing from that time

Mom has a tourist visa she has her i94 and all packet is ready to be mailed but our concern is will my sister have to fly up to NY when it's time for moms interview we were told that some times ask for the child and why they are not at the interview also. Thank you.

My sister lives in Tenn and she is petitioning for our mom who lives in NY will she be required to attend the interview with mom. As anyone here have any expierense in this area? Thanks for any responds.

Ok my sister is in Nashville also and she was worried she was placed in que as of Feb 29 and then finally she got the same message yesterday so now I can tell her it's a Nashville thing..

there are many reasons...

- when your I485 got denied

- when your I130 got denied

- when your spouse withdraw his/her I130

- when your spouse withdraw his/her I864

- when you failed your interview

- when you come to interview without your spouse

- when your spouse failed.. background check

- when your marriage is not valid

there are many and many reasons... just depends on the case.

I'm still learning how do you end up in RP
