Your son is the same age as mine.I only paid for i-485 for the 3 of us and my son's fee was $635 if I am not mistaken no more than $650.Did they give you your appointment notice for interview? Or is the lawyer planning to come with you to the interview ,if they are planning to come with you I would rather you go by yourself for they will charge you for going with you .Basically they dont ask you complicated questions at the interview so you dont need a lawyer to be present.All the best .

hi Ladyg i went to see the att. and i dont blame you one bit for filing on your own he refused to give me copies of my receipt because they dont want me to see how much the pay to uscis for my son, but he did change the bal cause they realize that i am knowledgeable of the whole process so i want to tell everyone that is using an attorney be very careful and good luck to all.

That sound like the norm.The lawyer I had asked before I filed myself wanted to charge me $1500 as well ,but my petition included my 2 kids that I cam ewith to the USA.So she wanted $4500 for the 3 of us ,plus the money for i-485 which is $1070 by 3 ,the total was going to be almost $8000 thats why I decided to do it myself to cut of the $4500,I agree with you $8500 isnt right plus wanting another $4000 thats taking advantage of someone.

I have my receipts they gave me one for 2000 and one for 5020 which was for AOS fir me and ny son

What they are trying to do is bill me twice for AOS and charge me separated for EAD cards so what they are telling me is 3000 for paper work for me and 2000 for my self I swear I'm gonna take them to the bar association... That's so unfair.

I understand Ladyg I only got my drivers license last summer but my interview is very early in the morning so I'm trying to use the time and go to DMV to remove the condition cause everyone knows your business when u have to present ID.

Hi Goodyear I was told it goes to NBC and then to your local office as in my case it seems correct some ppl notice says National Benefit Center as for me and you it only says to another office which almost drove me crazy.

Hopeful everytime I see you post im hoping it good news they wont let you wait this long and not approve your case hon we will all be here to celebrate with you.

I had the same notice transferred to another office .did u receive transfer to USCIS if not that should be next keep in mind the holiday good luck.

Well count almost thirty days away from approval and you can expect your interview notice around them.
