Preparing for my interview (very) early Tuesday morning, here's my checklist of documents to bring, considering I'm applying under the 5-year rule: - interview letter - green card - passport - driver's license - tax transcripts x 5 - marriage certificate with translation - electricity bill and first pages of lease for proof of residence Am I missing anything? I was thinking of bringing my husband's birth certificate just in case - we happen to have one, it even has an apostille (we needed it to get married in France). I'm not bringing proof of bona fide marriage since I'm under the 5-year rule, but I could pull thousands and thousands of pictures of us throughout the years on my phone during the interview if necessary. The lease is also in both our names.

Did you also check the documents tab in your online account? I did receive one of these emails apparently for no reason a couple weeks ago, and other people said they did too. Do you already have an interview date?

I thought about it but then people can't update the tracker themselves, which a few people have done. Once thing I didn't try is to copy/paste a table from a Word doc or Excel sheet.

Somebody needs to take charge and create one. Not going to lie it's a pain because you can't use the tabs key to create neat columns, lol! Also, I would like to encourage everyone to fill in their official Timeline on this website. It helps make the processing time predictions more accurate, and many people are looking for data from filers from the same field office that they can't find anywhere else.

While I'm here, a word of caution: a San Francisco filer from a previous month couldn't get approved on the spot at her interview because the officer asked for proof she filed her taxes, and she was missing documentation for one year. Remember to bring your tax return transcripts, or copies of your tax returns, for ALL 3 of 5 previous years (depending on your situation) to save yourself the headache of being delayed!!

Hey guys! I've been traveling this past week, I'll do my best to update the tracker today.

How did it go??

Like others have said, she needs to start a new citizenship application. In the meantime, besides ESL classes, I would do full immersion at home: speaking English only together at all times, watching TV in English with English subtitles on, reading books in English, limiting time spent with her Spanish-speaking friends, etc. It will be beneficial for her way beyond the interview. Not speaking fluent English (doesn't have to be perfect but a conversational level) will be limiting for her at work and in daily life. She might as well use this opportunity to put in the time and effort to improve her language skills.

That sounds a lot like the "touched" updates I used to get back in the days of my CR1 and ROC.

This morning I got another email from USCIS "we took an action in your case" but there was no new update in my online account. No new entry in the case history, status is the same, and I double-checked my interview letter, the date and time hasn't been changed. Weird.

What date is your interview?

I don't think so. I think it's only based on average processing times. Mine went from 5 back to 6 a couple weeks ago, I still got my interview date this week. Not necessarily required but recommended if your I-751 is still pending. Some people who had combo interviews received a message from their field office just days before requesting that the spouse come as well.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe once your oath is schedule it means you've been approved. Only thing left to become a citizen is for you to formally take the oath.
