Nobody would give you several vaccine shots at once, that's not how vaccination works. Also, the people who benefit the most from vaccination are the people with "delicate health" - because they are the ones most at risk of severe infection leading to hospitalization and death. It seems that if you want to make a case to the official doctor that your health justifies waiving certain vaccines, you need to educate yourself. This kind discourse is not going to cut it. Kind of disheartening to see this thread being used to spread misinformation about vaccines.
-
I think OP needs to discuss with her primary care doctor whether her medical history justifies avoiding these vaccines. If they agree then it would be wise to have them write a certificate detailing her illnesses and how getting a vaccine could impact her health to share with the embassy appointed physician, who will have to make the final call. It doesn't look to me that a waiver on moral or religious grounds is the way to approach this.

I'm shocked to read some of the comments in this thread, in a forum that is usually helpful and supportive. Domestic violence kills. There's nothing suspicious about a perfect fiance turning into an abusive spouse: people with violent tendencies don't usually advertise their wife-beating habits, but those tend to surface as soon as life together starts. Recent immigrants are very vulnerable, especially people on K1 visas who are entirely dependent on their spouse for months on end. Can we know for sure that this particular case is legit? Of course not, someone is writing about it on the internet. But judging and demeaning the suffering of someone who gets beat up so badly that they end up in the hospital is disgusting. Comparing that to a bad vacation, seriously?? Give OP actually helpful advice and let the USCIS do its job. Yes it's easy to have proof of domestic abuse when it was so bad that bones were broken, ER was visited and police had to get involved. Whether the victim wants to go home or stay in the new country she was hoping to start a new life in is none of our business. OP, your friend needs to look into VAWA and would benefit from the help of an organization for domestic abuse victims and/or immigrants rights.

Please do not wait. Yes it's absolutely terrifying, however knowing is always better than not knowing. There's a good chance it's not cancer, and then you would be relieved. If it is cancer, the sooner you know the better. My mom has had 2 breast cancers 10 years apart, and she's still there living her best life! The reason why: when she found a lump she went straight to her doctor and started diagnostic exams right away. There is nothing positive that can come from waiting to have a mammogram, the longer you wait the longer you are scared. Tell your doctor about your fears, they could prescribe medication to take the night before and day of the mammogram for anxiety (you wouldn't be able to drive, plan on getting a taxi or Uber/Lyft). Can you go with a friend? If not, like @Lemonslice said, there are many breast cancer support groups that may offer to have a volunteer accompany you. -

For me it took about 4 days from the day of my appointment at the post office before the tracker showed "received" status. If I remember well, I applied on a Monday and the update happened on the Friday morning. -

I don't think you need to, but there's a line on my checks to make a note and I wrote something like "expedited processing and shipping". They can tell based on the amount anyway. -

- You write one check for the full amount and bring it to be sent together with your application. Make sure you have the right total amount (I think there's a calculator on the DoS website), depending on whether you want just a passport book or also a card. If the county clerk's office charges a processing fee like the post office does, you'll pay that separately. - Bring everything the DoS asks for, including copy of your driver's license. The DoS didn't actually cash my check, they used the account and routing # to take an ACH payment from my account. So I'm not sure why they don't allow online payments yet, but whatever. My husband just renewed his passport, and apparently they just started an all online renewal process they're beta-testing. I wouldn't want to be a beta-tester for any official paperwork, lol! -

Added you to the tracker. You definitely waited longer than most who filed in the beginning of the month. Thank you for your kind words. Pets really become part of our family and it's hard to see them go. Final passport update: I received my naturalization certificate back today. It was in a regular envelope and didn't have a "do not fold" sticker or anything, but besides a bent corner it's in pretty good shape. So with expedited application at the post office, it took 2 weeks + 1 day for my passport to arrive, a couple more days for the passport card to arrive separately (no tracking number), and 3 weeks + 5 days to get my original certificate back. Updated tracker below. I'm definitely distracted so just holler if I missed something. @BellaUnion what day did you submit your application? I'd be happy to add you to the tracker. Personal update: received my passport card a few days ago, and my status updated to supporting documents were sent back. Hoping to get my naturalization certificate back in one piece soon... In other news our elderly cat passed away on Monday and we're heartbroken. He was 17 and I've had him since before even meeting Colin. He lived on 3 continents and was with us every step of this immigration journey - it was easier for him to move to the US than for me! Sorry I haven't updated the tracker, our senior pet is in the vet ICU and it's been a rough few days. I'll do my best to update it in the next couple days. -
I applied for the passport card too thinking I'd use it as my Real ID to fly domestically when it becomes a requirement. I just renewed my driver's license last year and it's not Real ID compliant, I don't want to have to deal with the DMV until it expires if I can avoid it! I'd also rather not take my full passport book with me if I'm not crossing borders.

I don't know the difference between regular and large so I'm not sure. I didn't make any specific requests so I guess it's regular? I also applied for a passport card, the guy at the post office said it would come separately later. -

June 10. I couldn't get any earlier appointment, apparently there's only one post office in all of San Francisco that takes applications. I've now received another email saying it was shipped, with a tracking number. So I should get it within the next 2 days. Tracking number isn't active yet. I was also not too excited about sending my original certificate but there's no way around it if you don't have immediate international travel plans... I'll feel better once I have my passport in hand! -

So annoying! I agree with @Rekyrts, I would try to email the director of the office or whoever you can. Back when I first arrived on my CR1 Visa in 2012 I had issues with SS and my husband made me file a complaint online. Within a few hours they called me to resolve the issue. -

From the USCIS website: Your Responsibilities as a Permanent Resident As a permanent resident, you are: Required to obey all laws of the United States and localities; Required to file your income tax returns and report your income to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities; Expected to support the democratic form of government (βsupportβ does not include voting. Permanent residents cannot vote in federal, state, or local elections.); and Required to register with the Selective Service, if you are a male age 18 through 25. The USCIS absolutely can decide to decline benefits based on requirements of their choosing. Personally I wouldn't risk it and just file for the missing year, especially since supposedly OP won't owe anything. It could very possibly delay the wife's naturalization based on past experiences shared here by other members.
