I'm from Nigeria actually. the visa bulletin is actually hard to understand.

You see, for The month of October, it says 7000 for Nigeria. For November, 10000.

Are these the cut off numbers? And how will i know when my case number is current?

And i honestly need all the help i can get.

My DV is for my family, my husband and daughter.

We had a religious marriage 4 years ago, but when i got selected, i insisted on the court wedding.

Will this affect me in any way?

i remember that i told you that you will be getting an e-mail from the KCC it will be just a communication e-mail, tells you that there is an updates on your status, you gonna need to go on the DV website with the confirmation # ,family name and birth year, you find a different letter from the notification letter tells you about your interview when, and where it will be and it will be 4 to 6 weeks before you interview,

well,if the Gov web says November will be till 10000, so and you are 10000 and something, so you will be around or in December, what you need to do to the best of my knowledge that if there is an embassy for the USA in Nigeria, so you need to check with them and with their website,, this is how it works here in Egypt, the Embassy of US gives details about the interviews like with the case number ,date and time, with a monthly bulletin, or you call them i mean the embassy, if there is no embassy there, so where did you say you wanna have your interview, which is the nearest country,,in one of the forms that you did send, you did typr where you wanna have the interview(right) you need to check with that embassy on the phone or it will be on their website,

Or,,you can e-mail the KCC and check with them,,this is the best ican help with and this is how it works here ,,,and i think it will be the same for you,

as for the second part(marriage) i don't know,,am sorry,,you need to check with some one from Nigeria and there are some of your people here,,,

i think you should post a new topic and headed it with ( that you are from Nigeria and that you won and need a quick help from nigerian one)

I don't know where u from ,but, i think u have an E-mail,and they know it,, and that e-mail was on ur first application, so,before ur interview with about 4 to 6 weeks they will notify u with a communication e-mail telling u to go check the Gove lottery web site again and that there is updates for u, so u go there with the original confirmation number u have, and family name, birth year, and instead of the winning notification letter , there will be a letter tells u what to do next, and when ur interview will be ,

regarding ur case number ,,, it is not that high at all , and to make sure i will just give u links to the government (Visa bulletin)

Dont worry about it. What you did will be okay. I did the same and did not have any issues. I did not even give an address at the interview as I did not know where I would stay and that was accepted.

A quick questin,

at the DS-230, At the question regarding the address at the US which will be as a permanent address, I did give them N/A, coz they said if known,,and i don't or i am not sure yet where i will be staying,,

but at the part which asks for an address that they can send me the green card on, i did give them my friend's address,

so,,should that be a big deal not giving a premanent address right now,,, or it is just fine,,as long as i can and i will give them an address at the intreview stage,

Any Idea is highly appreciated,,by the way,, i already did send my documents to the KCC, but i can send an update,,,so guys do ya think that premanent address thing at this STAGE ( may give me any troubles )

Yes, i spoke with a Kentucky rep and he did confirm it's a problem with the website.

For university info - you should be fine - you can explain the typo at the interview.

Please do NOT panic -- I called Kentucky for a family member and despite what says on the website now, they're still a winner. Kentucky has an issue with the status check system currently.

You can always email KCCDV@state.gov with your case number to ask them any questions or call them on 1-606-526-7500 (7:30 am until 4 pm EST).

Man,,you sure about that they currently have some issues with the website ,,,i know about their e-mail,,,but they take some few days before replying,,,,and i intened to call them,,but thought that someone might have any idea,,,,and i guess you are that one,,,till i give them a call,,,

one more question buddy,,,,at the Cell of starting education,,,my start date at the university was 1999 i made a simple mistake by putting it 0199,,but inside there are more about that that it started 1999,,ya think that could give me any trouble?

i checked it on 16 or 17 July,and did send my documents a wee ago,,and documents already there,,tracked them with the DHL,,so,,

i don't know,,today right now says not selected,,since they released the results,,,first time to give me this,,could be the load on the site?

I am selected in 2012 dv,i printed the congrats letter,did send both forms to the Kebtucky center,,they already there since 25 July,

i was checking today and i found the website says not selected,?

any idea ,what is that,,any clue,,might be the website not working well,,i don't know,

i made a simple mistake in the form DSp,start attending the Unversity should be 1999 i did type,0199,but the rest of the forms says it is 1999,and i sent them e-mail to ask if i need to re-sen the form ,,but while doing so,,was checking and found not selected ,,what about the congrats letter,case number, and my documents are already there?

I am a DV 2012 lottery winner,

i have a question on the form ds-230 the 2 parts,

they asks to make a copy of both for each familly member, then they says that it means spouse(husband or wife) children,even if they not travelling with you,

no mention for the parents or brothers,,

I am not married have no kids at all,,and applied alone ,,none of my brothers or parents was included in my application,

i e-maild them,,they gave me info (yes)but usless didn't get what they want sid the same thing,

i just need to know ,,if not married and applied alone do i need to make a copy for each one of my brothers and my parents as well and send them,?if so, who

should sign their copies them or me?

again,,no one is included in my appliction,,,and i am not married don't have kids as well,,,

still should send the a copy of that form for my brothers and parents or nope?
