  1. Last monthly scheduling they stopped t Oct.13, 2023 DQ for November interviews for the IR/CR category. Please inbox me for further information.
  2. Just go to ur Citizenship interview. Sometimes their records get all messed up. But I would also call them or get online talk to a live agent through EMMA and tell them your I751 is already approved.
  3. You divorce where you are living and resident not the DR. And it's so much simpler in US.
  4. The US Citizen step mother can petition child (It's faster) but make sure they have all their ducks in a row and get written notarized permission from mother. Get papers drawn up and get it notarized at the US Embassy to avoid any wahala. It's still going to take a about 2 years or more to get child here but faster with US Citizen filing.
  5. Also important point she also can not leave the US or she will incur a 10 year Ban for the overstay. When are you or the father eligible to file for citizenship? This is her only path she can take to staying here legally and getting a green card.
  6. Something weird is going on it's like all the embassies are like stuck in no IL's but for reaffirms, AP but hardly any new stuff. Ghana hasn't scheduled since February. Nigeria March Like WTH. But Thanks for the info.
  7. So where exactly are they in scheduling. I mean I saw someone on here DQ 9/28 get a June date. Like what the heck is Canada doing. Is the wait 8-9 months from DQ or what. Has Montreal also not scheduled this month?
  8. If she was immigrating that would be different. But to come for a visit this will hurt more than help. She is coming to visit her daughter and grandkids nothing more.
  9. Send evidence with your petition package. Show all ur visits also through the years. Been seeing Lagos lately putting people in AP asking for these kind of evidence.
  10. Make sure too show evidence of you in her life since birth if possible. Pictures together throughout her life, conversations, School fees paid for her, money you sent. his helps and may alleviate the need for DNA testing. Letter of consent from Mother also.
  11. Many have visited. Bring paperwork just in case to show you are returning. Like letter from employer, lease, return ticket. Some are asked some aren't. If refused no it doesn't effect I-130 unless you lied.
  12. To upgrade your petition to US Citizen filer you send Public Inquiry to NVC here's the link. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html You upload your Naturalization certificate also.
  13. What did you mean "I would like to perhaps visit the USA on a long-term visa in the future"
  14. Follow the money has Money Order been cashed yet. NOA1 usually comes within 30 days. Did you also include a G-1145 so you get E-notification from the Lockbox when they received it?
  15. Haven't seen any F categories posting and need to know where they are for DQ dates for F2B.
  16. IL's going out today for Ghana and they are in February 2023 DQ's for IR/CR category. I know they are in 2020 DQ for F category. Not sure what months for which F category. Sorry. If you want to join Ghana Immigration group on Facebook just inbox me and I will send you link.
  17. Once PD is current it's DQ date . F category for Ghana is in 2020 DQ's.
  18. What is your Visa category? For IR/CR category IL's are going out today and they are in Feb 2023. So they are a 12 month wait for that category.
  19. Yes you can use the I-864W. The I-765 is just so she can get the Social security # so as EAD card arrives since the approval of the I-485 can take some time. Just nice to have that sooner rather than later. Here's the addresses of where to file according to where you live. https://www.uscis.gov/uscis-lockbox-filing-locations-chart-for-certain-family-based-forms
  20. No I-751 that's Removal of Conditions. They need to file: 1. I-130 2. I-485 3. I-765 4. I-864 5. I-131 (optional)
  21. Unfortunately this is so flippin common in Nigeria that I deal with the embassy expects it. It is not impossible to get over this hurdle. Just wish you knew what you knew now. First a Writ of Mandamus was a waste because you are telling them to make a decision now. They don;t even have your evidence. Have you even got your NOIR or NOID letter from them. Yes it's unusual to get case sent back for misrep most get a chance at embassy to rectify the situation. This is what your wife needs to do. She needs to go to her high court (get a lawyer to do it) and get a swore affidavit stating she has never been married before. She needs to coup to the lie. The agent can put whatever they want she raised her hand t interview and said all was true and yes they do ask are you married so she can;t say she didn't know that was there it was her responsibility to check and make sure all was true. Get the affidavit and wait out your letter from USCIS.
  22. Unfortunately, we with family in Nigeria have to pay for the sis of those before us. Unless your father (who might get a Visitor Visa depending on age) may get visa it will be very hard to get one for your brother without a long travel history outside of Africa that required a Visa. You need to show strong ties . The CO has to feel confident that the beneficiary will return wen they are suppose to. All you can do is apply and let the chips fall where they may. Appointments are pretty far out. But after booking a date you can always keep checking and maybe get lucky and find an earlier date. I did the same for my brother in law.
