My name is Briana. John and I met in September 2008. He was a foreign exchange student from Northern Ireland at my college in Buffalo, NY. We had one class together and we were both playing soccer for the school. As a result, we ended up spending a lot of time together and getting to know one another really well. We started dating in November 2008. He stayed in the US all the way to July 2008 on his student visa, and then flew back home. We continued dating, Skyping everyday and emailing every night, and I visited John and his family in Dec 2008 to Jan 2009 for 3 weeks. He visited me and my family again in May 2009-June 2009 for 6 weeks. I returned to Northern Ireland to visit him for 5 weeks this past Dec 2010-Jan 2011. John proposed to me on Dec 19, 2010 in Edinburgh, Scotland, in front of the Edinburgh Castle, a nice wee vacation weekend away for just the two of us! We've been together for over 2 and a half years now. I filed our K1 Visa package on Feb 28, 2011 and received our NOA1 on March 3, 2011. Were hoping to marry this upcoming year, 2012, but of course it all depends on this vigorous visa process.
