Thanks so much...definetely I'm not doing this illegaly...I'm really deciding in visiting another country now....
I hope that Cuba will let americans visit their country soon.
The Cuban Assets Control Regulations are complicated. There are many provisions, and you can research them yourself. However, none pertain to tourist travel. There are provisions for humanitarian projects, visiting Cuban family (if you are Cuban), academic research, church missions, etc.
There are two types of license groups. The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) enforces the regulations and issues licenses. Applying for specific licenses is very complicated and may necessitate a lawyer depending on the circumstances.
Regardless, many Americans travel to Cuba by connecting in 3rd countries (Bahamas, Dominican Republic, etc.) illegally and commit perjury when lying on the customs form about countries visited when coming back to the US. Some airlines share the passenger manifests with the US government and CBP can find out if you're lying.
If you care about not being fined potentially $10,000 and denied US citizenship, I would not go unless you are part of an organization authorized to go. Without a license, you will not be allowed to leave from Miami; these are not normal flights.
If you decide to go illegally and go through a third country, you're doing so at your own risk.

what doespermission from OFAC or otherwise fall under an OFAC general license means and how do I process this requests?
If you don't have permission from OFAC or otherwise fall under an OFAC general license, you will not be allowed to depart on a plane directly from Miami. Tourist travel to Cuba by those subject to US jurisdiction is not allowed.
At risk of large fines and denial of naturalization, I would refrain from going if the trip is not legal.

I just want to go for four days with another peruvian friend as tourist

Hi Everybody
Ii'm peruvian married to an american. Been in USA since 2006 got my resident card same year as permanent resident. I was invited to go to Cuba last year and this year once again but I'm scared that the USA Inmigration Department will take away my residence or maybe denied my process to become a USA citizen (I'm thinking to apply for it next year). I still has my peruvian passport but I want to know if someone else has been out from Miami to Cuba without a problem. Need help

You shouldn't have any problems.......
Just to be on the safe side, I would take along a copy of your marriage license. Not so much for leaving or entering the U.S. but for leaving Peru..... It's just an extra document besides the green card stating to Peruvian immigration that you guys are married

LAN is THE BEST airlines to Peru....... They fly out of Miami and it' about a 5 hour flying time trip. Their planes are very new and on most of their planes you get your own entertianment tv infront of you... Flight attendants are 100% more attentive and friendlier that any U.S. airline. You also get a pretty good meal for airline standards as well as 1 or 2 free adult beverages. They also dont charge for bags
American is OK Miami direct to Lima..... older aircraft, but if the price is right.... it's good.... But you do pay for your bags
COPA airlines also flies to Lima from Miami with about an hour stop over in Panama.... I've flown them a couple of times due to their prices being low and good service...... Just takes a little longer to get their.
Spirit Air also flies to Lima from Ft. Lauderdale, but people I know who have flown on Spirit HATED it. They give you nothing and you have to buy water and a coke if you want it..... Heck if I'm going to be on a plane for over 5 hours....... At least give me soda I don't have to pay $5.00 for.

I hate to say it, but they say things happen in three's

WOW...... Wish I had the time to take off to head to Peru for Memorial Day Weekend with the wife and little one....
$373.00 on LAN from Miami.... Leaving May 22 and Returning May 26
I know it's winter down there but I haven't seen a price like that in a long time

One way or Round trip ticket is OK.
Which ever cost less.......
99% of the time it's a roundtrip ticket for some strange reason..... I haven't figured that one out yet.

I guess your Fiance is flying in to Ft. Lauderdale on Spirit.
Ft. Lauderdale is NOT a major international airport, so getting through immigration is alot faster and friendlier than Miami Int'l. It is a fairly large airport but nothing like Miami. Getting around FLL is very easy and user friendly to get to the next flight.
4 hours should be more than enough time.

Anyone planning on a trip to Peru for the Christmas / New Year holidays this year.....
I've been looking at prices and WOW they are expensive.... Especially now that there are 3 tickets I have to get
From Miami Lan it"s almost $750.00 and American is over $1,000.00
I thought the airlines with this economy would lower prices to get people to fly not increase them

You shouldn't have any problems......
However, if your passport is in your maiden name and green card is in your married name, take a copy of your marriage license.

Ok..... here is an old wives tale that my Mother used and I've used and it seems to work.
Don't think I'm a crazy nut case but try it.
While looking for your passport you must ask St. Anthony to help you find it.
So basically while looking you say
Please St. Anthony help me find my passport. And look everywhere....... and I mean everywhere possible.
Do you remember the last time you saw or used your passport.
Perhaps when you went to get your marriage license it was left there as to me that would probably be the last time you used it

Answers to questions
1. However you print your pictures are fine. My personal opinion is the smaller version are easier to submit.
2. You can submit 10-15 e-mails. Maybe 1 or 2 from every other month.
3. Submit about 10-15 phone cards just to show you had them.
4. Submit as many hotel, airline, restaurant receipts as you can
5. Western Union receipts are good
6. My wife and I were the same ages as you guys are when we 1st met. Age difference is just number. Don't worry
7. As long as you guys have personally met in the last 2 years is what counts
Also submitting copies of your stamped passport pages is a good idea to show you have been in and out of Peru.
The average processing time from submission of package to issuance of visa is around 8 to 10 months going through the embassy in Lima. It could be a little longer or a little less.
When the time comes I would suggest attending the interview in Lima with your Fiance.
Good luck.....

She will most definitely be processed in Ft. Lauderdale..... One hour is not giving her much time to be processed and catching the next flight to Chicago....
