  1. Hello VJ members,

Just want to thank everyone for helping me with this journey especially to MessyBrownHair and her blog. It helped me a lot since we have the same visa type, same country of origin and both our husbands are serving the military. And of course, reading about other member's experiences and opinions here taught me a lot too while I was filing the papers for my AOS--without the help of a lawyer. And I'm so happy I didn't receive any RFE because of everyone, although we had to hire an attorney for filing K-1 and paid him 900$. Oh well, we have learned about that already. We didn't know that it would be this very easy. Anyway, my conditional green card was approved last September 28, but didn't receive it until today. That's only 60 days from my NOA. Now all I need to do is amend my passport and wait until 2013 for lifting my conditions! :)

If you wanna check out MessyBrownHair's blog, here it is:

    Thanks again!!

  2. I am from Bloomsburg, PA. I googled it and we are about 2 1/2 hours away from each other.. I have been here 6 months and also have not met a single pinay, not even in church lol :) If you are in the area, let me know!!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Sure I will! I met a Filipina here about 2 weeks after I got here and she introduced me to her friends. It was really nice! But the problem was they all have jobs and are busy which sucked.

We are in Milton ,PA. ot far from you.

Awwe.. I googled and thats also 2 and 1/2 hours away but thats fine, maybe I'll send you a message here when I will be able to drop by there sometime! Thanks! :D

  3. Is there any Filipina here who lives near New Providence, PA? It's near Quarryville and Lancaster. I live here and I rarely see Pinays. Its sad. :crying: I wanna make new Filipina friends but I can't find some, well I did find a group but they are much older to me so I can't really hang-out with them a lot. I will be glad to meet new friends here. Thanks! :D

  4. Your K-1 visa already expired. It expired the moment you used it.

You are talking about the I-94 expiration date here that is what you should be looking at.

As long as you married within the 90 days after entry you are fine. Don't even bother worrying about the expiration on the I-94. You already filed AOS. You need to wait 30 days/ one full month before contacting USCIS.

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry but thanks for the info!

  5. Hi good day! Does everyone here know when is the right time for us to contact USCIS regarding this? And also do you know their telephone numbers?

We filed for AOS last July 09 and USCIS received it according to our delivery confirmation last July 12. I know I should be patient but I'm worried because my K1 visa will expire in about 2 days and might have problems after that. I hope someone could help me. Thank you!
