I know several people that where given only 2 month stay instead of 6 month, and this persons have been in the US several times and several countries without ever overstaying . Something has change in the CBP guide lines probably, i am not sure if this is because too many people are trying to stay in the US recently or if this because the country they come from has recently exploited in social turmoil. I know that immigration has a ranking system for this and that all immigrants are not equal depending in the social and economical state of their country
