I was born in the USA she was born in NZ
We first met in NZ in 1964 when my family moved back there.
My mother was a New Zealander and my father is an American.
We went to school together for 4 years and were in the same class for the last 2 years.
Drifted apart over the years until late 2009 when we found each other by email and renewed our relationship.
She came over for a visit early 2010 then returned for another. We brought her 20yr old daughter over next and traveled around the US.
They both went back and returned again shortly after.
Each time using the Visa waiver program honored by both of our countries.
We had fallen in love and were just drifting along.
They were hassled coming into San Francisco the last time and so we decided to apply for a b- visitors visa for 6 months.
This was declined because burden of proof docs were not taken to the meeting with the vice-consul.
I proposed to her on Valentines day 2011. :)
We began the process by filing an I-129F and G-1158 plus paying the fees on March 24th 2011.Received confirmation of delivery on April 1st and papers routed to Vermont.
