Notifed by email today at 2PM! Looked online and there it is as well...
APRIL 28, 2004- Receive NOA2 in mail, approval dated 4/22.
MAY 3, 2004- receive letter from NVC, dated 4/30, with new Embassy case number. Saying our petition is to be sent to Ankara in a week. No....I never even had to call them to inquire of status.
MAY 7, 2004- Ankara, Turkey receives approved file from NVC.
MAY 23, 2004- Receive Packet 3!
JUNE 2, 2004- Embassy receives all paperwork.
JULY 6, 2004- Receive interview date letter.
AUGUST 12, 2004 - INTERVIEW!!!!!
December 23, 2004 - File AOS and EAD papers- sent to Chicago new address.
December 27, 2004 - Received in the mail NOAs for both AOS and EAD. Need to schedule Biometrics. Checked online for processing times 120-180 days.
January 24, 2005 - Biometrics received and we check online for status. "Processing has resumed on the case".
Febuary 12, 2005 - EAD received
June 8, 2005- Husband goes to the NYS DMV and gets his Learner's Permit.
June 22, 2005 - NYS Learner's Permit comes in the mail and we see it will expires in February 2006, right when the EAD expires. I guess they based this as this was the proof he presented for his Immigration status until he gets his AOS. Then we can get a normal license and also a "clean" SS card that does not say "Unauthorized to work without Immigration Approval."
