  1. i dont really have any information but i would definitely call the department of state and contact the embassy as well. This is surprising news due to that fact that they dont usually tell you why you are in AP, but happen to do so because it has got the attention of the white house. but thank you for sharing this information, my husband has been on AP for 31months now, over 2years and a half, they tell us the exact same thing that all his documentation is fine and they have everything that they need yet, they have to finish AP in order to approve or deny him. I would like to contact the white house also, maybe i can get a reason why he is in AP. Can you share how you contacted the white house and how long it took for a reply back? I would highly appreciate it and i hope you hear some good news soon. Keep us updated.

  2. I completed the form and have three years of Income Tax return of the person who is sponsoring, yet, im not sure what address am i supposed to file this form to the NVC. I cant scan & email these documents, its way too much paper. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, and another thing, is that all I am supposed to send? the sponsor is self employed. Thanks...

  3. I've been sending emails to the embassy in Sanaa, Yemen and instead of waiting for a response, I get emailed back almost immediately.

    The sender is: postmaster@state.gov

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

    IVSanaa@state.gov

I don't get why is this happening all of a sudden. Did the embassy change their email address? I don't see anything on their website that says they have. What do I do?

  4. We've been in AP for 2years & half. Yes, 29months! Why were we put on AP? I wish I knew. My husband's first & last names are NOT a common name, yet his middle name maybe. We are only 5years apart so I don't think that matters. & the interview went well, our daughter & I were physically there and I thought everything went smoothly but he gave us a blue sheet. I'm having our second baby due any day now. It's very difficult to be apart. I've done all that I can & nothing has helped. From my emails to senators emails, the only thing we get is, 'case is undergoing admin process, wait until we finish' . I mean I'm all for safety and security but why should it take more than 2years & a half & counting to check on someone's case & background. It's beyond ridiculous. I wouldn't even wish my worst enemy to go through admin process. It's just not fair and the lack of attention they show cases that go through admin process is very fustrating.

  5. Even if the response date have changed more than three times? I didn't know it takes 27months and counting to finish an AP case, and my husband doesn't even have a familiar name. I have a feeling that his folder is somewhere in the office full of dust. Since the embassy there was closed for about 9months, they are back logged and with that, I feel they are trying to work with assigning interviews & leave the AP cases aside because the AP cases dont really have time frames.

  6. Mine says...

    Immigrant Visa Case Number: SAA2009....

    Case Creation Date: n/a

    Response Date: 23-Jul-2012

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

    What does response date mean?

Been in AP for 27months by the way.

  7. So I emailed the embassy stating we we're considering on filing a Writ of Mandamus & this was the reply I got:

    Dear Madam/Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry. We are starting to review cases which have

been waiting the longest for their documents to be reviewed or for their

    administrative processing to be completed.

We hope to be able to contact the applicant(s) for this case in the near

    future with further instructions.

    Sincerely,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

    US Embassy

    Sana'a, Yemen

With that being said, what should I do next? Keep waiting? This is not the first email where they stated they are 'starting' to review cases who are on AP. They said that in the past 3emails in the past 6-10 months I've been sending them.
