Ok so the situation is a bit more complex.....the spouse wants to take the petitioner to court and wants the petitioner to pay for something....thats why the idea of using for papers came to mind...the spouse doesnt want to move out and wants to do a divorce only thru a judge (hoping the petitioner will be told to pay). What can the petitioner do?

So what really happens if a person contacts immigration and says that their spouse has been using them to get papers to come into the country.....someone asked me and i didnt know the answer to that....if the spouse thats being accused is still in the house with the petitioner, but the petitioner feels that now that the spouse got what they could and got the temporary green card and can no longer get anything else, is acting out and the petitioner feels all this was for papers....

we had our interview today for AOS, in New York....a bit difficult, but we passed and the green card should be arriving in a few weeks.

while we were there, after the interview, i lost my husband's EAD card...i think it must have fallen out when the officer took the passport to put a temporary GC stamp inside....my question is, do i need to replace the card and pay the $400, or can my husband use his green card when applying for work??

we have qn interview this coming wednesday. what do they ask? do they separate my husband and myself to ask questions?

my husband finally received his EAD card and it says also Servies as i-512 Advance Parole.

So who has tried using that? how does it work? is it only valid for 1 visit? or as many as we want?

does it have to be to him home country or anywhere in the world?

do i just book tickets and take the EAD card with us to the airport and have it serve as the ID? or is there

a process to follow in order to use it?

So my husband's K1 visa obviously expired (its been over three months since his arrival to the US), we are in the process of getting the permanent resident card, but did not receive it yet...I am wondering what the rules are around him traveling by plane within the United States....can he do it?

my husband gets mistaken for an african american all the time.....i live in NY, but in a neighborhood and building that's predominantly white americans and russians. when i was introducing him to certain pple, who i knew were a bit prejudice, i made sure to tell them he is dominican....but others thought and still think he is black, and when they are speaking to me in english they are addressing him as well and he doesn't understand them, so at that time i tell them he only speaks spanish....but people here be-friended him on the fact that he is dominican and they don't see him as a threat....everywhere we go also, he gets mistaken for an african american-he doesn't care and neither do i....

i got an RFE for an incorrect check amount. my question is when i send back the package with the correct amount, do i have to send the paperwork in the same manner as they separated it? they put the photos in separates plastic bags, etc.

i'll send it out this week with the new check, but whoever had an RFE, can you please tell me...they separated all the pictures and put them into little plastic bags...do i leave everything as is and just attach a new check or do i redo the packet the way i had it originally??

i read some postings that all 3 were 1,010. i just received all the paperwork back saying the fee is not correct....what is the fee supposed to be??/

i sent in the AOS/EAD/AP paperwork beginning of last week. short of tracking the post which arrived the following day, how can i check the status of the paperwork? how long does it take to receive back

the G-1145 form? or i-797-notice of action form after the paperwork is received?

still have not finished the AOS/EAD process....very very cumbersome...anyway, i am almost done filling out the forms for my husband and have a question...G-325A Biographic Information...do I complete it with my husband's info (the K-1 visa holder) or with mine?

Hang in there....right now it feels like time is dragging, but it will pass....I was in your shoes not that long ago....for almost a year I was going to Dominican Republic on a monthly basis for 3 days....I was in a depressed state when I had to leave him, didn't want to do anything around the house, nothing was fun until the moment I was with him....now he's with me, thank God. Sometimes I read the posts here and think back of the time when he was not by my side and how difficult it was and am so grateful that he's with me...it will happen for you soon, believe me....best of luck and remember we are/were all in your sitation...noone will understand you like us...your fellow vj'ers....

our interview was on a Tuesday and they called my fiance Thursday morning....I think you can pick it up on certain days though....there was a guy on this site, forgot his name, but his fiance's paperwork got lost or something and it took a week or two till they got the visa....

i can't seem to find the NOA2...where would i get a copy of it???

what exactly is AP for? can it be used for vacation purposes or does it have to be used for something more official? on the paperwork they are asking for date of travel...i don't have a date in mind, i just want to go on vacation, either back to his home country or somewhere else outside of the US, and try to do it before he gets his permanent resident card...

Jardines del teatro...my husband and i stayed there when we had our interview. it's around the block from the embassy, the rooms are inexpensive, you can have a room with a kitchen and the supermarket is 2 or 3 blocks away...everything is within walking distance....

$200 to get the civil surgeon to complete the paperwork!!!....these people make money left & right!

the Copy of I-797 – Notice of Action, Approval of K1 petition, dated ##### (front & back)----is that the initial notice that i received after first submitting the i-129f that the petition was approved and after that my case was sent to national visa center? or is that something else?

my fiance came here on 3/11/11 on the K1 visa. we got married on 4/29 and i am starting to fill out the paperwork for AOS and EAD and am starting to feel soooo aggravated. i want to send them together, each requires 2 photos each, does that mean i have to send it 4 or since i am sending it together only 2 are needed? AOS is requiring to include a petition of approval notice...what is that?? Do i have to complete an affidavit of support for my husband even though i had it for the interview at the santo domingo embassy? does he absolutely need to get vaccinated and we have to submit vaccination paperwork with the EAD/AOS paperwork?

when i was applying for him for the visa-all the paperwork was completed by me, without any attorneys and i felt fine...for some reason i am confused this time around....

so i was just wondering....my fiance came here on the K-1 vsa a month ago. We are getting married in several weeks, but I was wondering if he and I can travel, either to Dominican Republic or elsewhere (domestic or international). will he be allowed to travel and/or return, let's say if we go to Dominican Republic on vacation before we get married and/or after...does anyone know?

my fiance's flight to US is tonight....when God willing, he arrives to NY and is at immigration, he has to give them the sealed envelope, do they give it back to him after looking at it? does he get asked questions? what's the story??
