We had to schedule an info window appointment and it was scheduled for two weeks after we sent the email...it took them only a day to reply. Everyone for the info window comes at the same time at 1:30 (at least thats how it was in June). He didn't actually go to the appointment because the embassy called him and told him he should have been approved at the interview so I am not sure how the appointment actually goes.

Not a problem! All the other ways were just too much money so I just made a copy of everything I sent him just in case it got lost or whatever but it made it just fine to him...the post office even called him when it arrived because he is always there asking them if they have any mail for him from me lol
-
I used USPS express mail for our 4 pound package it arrived in 5 days to him and I was able to track it the whole way...he collected his mail at Ochi and we had never had a problem with packages. Costed about $50

hopefully it doesnt take too long to get the EAD...some July filers are getting theirs now

for packet 3 all you really need to do is fill out DS 230 part 1 and email it back to the embassy. You can do this at anytime after kingston receives your petition. DS 156, DS 156k, and DS 157 are all needed at the interview. Packet 3 outines it all. Sitamari I see you found my post lol! hope this info helps you guys out! feel free to talk to me if you need help

Ive never had a problem with customs in JA...always told them I was staying with my fiance and after the first trip they had it in their system his address and phone number and such so they didnt ask me any questions besides how long I would be in JA for. I always told them how long I was staying whether it was a week or a month they never seemed to have a problem with it...just be honest they can usually tell!

I am hoping that we get waived as well it would be so nice not to have an interview!
It seems that when people get transferred it takes about 3 months from getting their NOA to getting their green card...I could be wrong but from some of the timelines I have seen that seems to be the case.

Here is a list of the things that we brought for proof of ongoing relationship:
-Photo album with pictures of us in America and Jamaica I put little captions with the dates at the bottom of each picture in the photo album at the interview they took the photo album and copied some pictures in it then gave it back
-Plane ticket stubs and copy of passport showing stamps asked how many times I have gone to ja but didn't ask to see the documents
-Phone records they never looked at, they just asked how we communicated
-Letters and packages they didn't ask about
-Moneygram/Western Union receipts they asked to see
It is not hard as long as he knows what everything should be used for at the interview and just general questions, if you guys are missing something they would wanna see they would give you a blue slip to bring come back with the requested information. So try not to worry about it all, it will all work out!

did you copy the pages of the passport? They like seeing the stamps showing that the you were in the country and for how long
for approval of the k-1 up here you need to prove that you have met in person in the two past years and are intending on getting married so phone bills and emails are really necessary until the interview but you can send them now too if it makes you feel better
It sounds like you are all ready! I wish you the best and hope it is a speedy journey for you and yours

We also filed beginning of August, NOA shows they received it August 5th. Now should I interpret the timelines from the official NOA date or from the date of receipt of the NOA letter?
The official date will be the one you should use for your timeline

Deff dont stress over the phone records and make sure that your primary proofs of relationship are strong. We brought phone records with us for our interview and they never looked at them....just our pictures and that was it

whoops I mean the 29th of august not the 28th

I got the txt msgs & emails yesterday, the 11th of August. I added my receipt #s this morning as they didn't work last night. I then checked my bank acc. and the 1,070 check has been cashed yesterday, 11th. It is obvious that I noticed immediately that some good money is missing. Ha! Then I saw the check.
Oh well
After adding the cases to my portfolio on my USCIS account, I noticed that my possible NOA date is the 9th of August(On August 9, we received and mailed you such and such). I'm waiting for the hard copy, but I'm pretty sure it will say the same thing. I'm beyoooond happy!
hey ours said august 1st in our email and that was the same date that was on our NOA hard copies we got today so most likely its the 9th for you guys
We got our biometrics letter today one day after getting our NOA for the AOS and EAD...Biometrics is scheduled for August 28th but we are going to try a walk in this monday hopefully it works
-
congrats on the approval!
