  1. once you do the medical they will give you the correct or what vaccination you will be needing and it is included on what you paid for your medical :)

in Jamaica the vaccinations are not included in the medical price they are in addition to the price. Our medical costs $8,400 JA ($100US) at Andrews Hospital in Kingston and if he needed any shots it would have been added on to that I believe that that shots were anywhere between $3,000-$5,000 extra each...

  2. Just updating again to let august filers know i JUST recevied my EAD in the mail today but since I was was approved for my Green Card this past monday (11/14/11), I wonder if the EAD is even valid. On a side note, since I am technically a permanent resident with conditions now, would using the EAD (ie: to get a license, apply for job, etc) get me in muddy waters?

Also surprising to see, it arrived Priority Mail. I hope my GC does the same.

The EAD is still valid...we still have my husbands because they told us to keep it after our green card interview...it is not needed though after you get your green card. You can get a job with it my husband had a job before we had our interview so you can definitely start looking. In many states if you were to get your license with your EAD card, your license will only be valid until your EAD expires...something to look into to see if where you live is like that.

PS-Green card will come in priority mail as well :)

  3. My husband went to the local clinic in the middle of February and had his medical in May. He took the list of shots with him and got the ones that he needed at the clinic and we saved a lot of money doing it that way. The key is going way before your medical because if you wait to only a few weeks before they will give him the shots again.

  4. I think I will have to do the same thing. I'm trying to be patient, but this is ridiculous! Glad to know I'm not the only one this happened to. Will send it again tomorrow

Yep keep on trying...Have you called DOS? Thats how I found out about our interview date and then he received the paper copy in the mail about a week later.

  5. Got a question now, you guys are saying the Notice of approval is usually in the envelope with the EAD card. Is this the AOS approval or the EAD approval? I would assume EAD but just making sure because it's sort of silly to put the EAD Approval in an enveloppe with the card as receiving the card obviously means you got approved.

It is just the EAD approval notice...the AOS one comes with the green card:)
