Hello everyone, I currently have a pending I-485 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview' with Jacksonville, FL office. Due to my husband's job situation, we will have to move to Orlando, FL. So I have a few questions about the changing address: - I read on some post that the USCIS is very slow with address change so how soon should we do it? Our current address is a rental apartment so we cannot keep it.
- Is it possible to register for USPS mail forwarding with USCIS mail?
- Orlando is not far from Jacksonville, but the area is under another field office. Is there anyway that we can keep our current file at Jacksonville office so it won't delay our timeline?
If you have any suggestion regarding the changing address, I would love to here it. Thank you very much

Hi everyone, Do you know if being separated by school/summer internship would be a big issue when filing for removal of conditions? I'm planning to attend Business school in 2022 - 2024, and most of the good Bschools are more than 2 hours from where we live. Commuting 4 hours everyday for school is not ideal for me, so I think I'll have to stay in dorms during weekdays and only go home for the weekend. My USC husband cannot give up his job to move to another city, because he has a contract with them till 2025 (or he will have to pay back his Master's tuition) With current estimate (could very well be changed), we'll need to file I-751 in 2023, in the middle of my MBA course. Do you think the fact that we don't live together for most of the week would be an issue to USCIS? If you were in a similar situation, did you have to go to interview with USCIS? What questions were you asked? Thank you so much!

Hello All, I'm new to the forums and find most of the information here very helpful, however I haven't found answers to a question that I'm really looking for. I'm a US citizen, petitioning for my Wife and Step Daughter. My wife and her ex husband divorced 5 months before we got married back in 2019. They had a daughter together(She is now 9 years old), and I want to immigrate her over here to the states. However my wife and I had heard a lot of rumors, consulate interview will want to ask for (Letter approval) of the stepchild's biological parents. Example: My Step Daughter needs a written consent that her dad needs to approve/allow her to immigrate to the states with her mother (My wife). Is this True? My wife (Vietnam National) has the divorce decree, and her ex-husband was suppose to pay child support every month but has not paid a single dime towards the child's living expense (In fact, I have been taking care both my wife and my step daughter). Has anyone gone through a similar situation and would like to shed some lights? Do Consulate Interview really want a Written Consent from the other biological parent, in order for them to get approved for a IR2 Visa? Thank you in advance for reading and answering my question. Jack

Just filed my I-130 petition on behalf of my spouse at the U.S. Consulate General in Saigon, Vietnam (got special clearance). Anyone know what s next? The IV unit staff worker told me that I would receive an email from them within a week and mentioned I would need to fill out a D-260. Not sure what to expect as this route is less common. Thanks for sharing any experiences filing directly at the consulate.
