Hello everyone. I had married this girl in 2018. And we already send aos package but the thing is we never went to the interview and I didn't even go to the biometric appointment and I just let it sit there. Then unfortunately our marriage fall apart and the divorce was finalized in June 2020( we filed in 2019 ). Few years back I met a new girl (who is USC) . We are from the same country of origin and speak the same language same culture. we fell in love and get married in November 2020 and we want to try the process again (nothing to lose right). Then I realized my ex-wife never withdraw i130. So do i have to withdraw my i485 and do it again? OR i just filed a new application write letter to them explain what happened?. My question is when should I filed a new application, should i hired a lawyer to do it thanks .Please advise me what to do next thank you

So is this really required? Never before have I ever had to send my original birth certificate in the mail, particularly overseas! Honestly it seems ludicrous but there it is in the instructions on the HCMC consulate website. I note the instructions also mention exceptions for this may be made on a case by case basis. Anyone have any experience with this, let alone have any idea why they would need this? If it weren't for the pandemic situation I would have happily brought the original with me, but obviously that's not possible now. So I guess I will write my State for a certified copy... just seems ridiculous. Any other gotchas I should know of? I've seen mention of family trees....?

Can anyone recommend a lawyer in HCM who is fluent in both English and Vietnamese and can aid with DS-260 + supporting documentation and interview preparation for my wife? I have found this list on the VN consulate website, but if it would best to use a lawyer that comes recommended by someone who has used their service. https://vn.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/attorneys/ This was an F2A application initially, but since I have become a US citizen, it is now proceeding as an IR1 (already been more than 2 years since marriage).

G-1450 Form (Applicant/Petitioner/Requester Information) |

We just sent in our concurrent filing of I-130/I-485, but it has not yet arrived at the Chicago lockbox. I used certified mail to send it and it arrives 2/16/2021. I (the petitioner) filled out two separate G-1450 forms for I-130 and I-485 with the appropriate fees and signatures. However, I am slightly panicking because I realized I put my name (the petitioner) in the "Applicant/Petitioner/Requester's Information" box for both G-1450 forms. I realized that I probably should have put my spouse's name for this field on the G-1450 for the I-485. Is this something our application can be rejected and returned to us over? Should I attempt to intercept this certified mail and fix it if necessary? Ironically I thought this form would be the biggest no brainer and I managed to potentially screw it up. Any advice is appreciated!!!
