We have filled and submitted both I-864 and DS-260 for my wife's IR-1. At the moment, we're collecting all the documents needed, and we have everything except for the police certificate. I could have sworn I read somewhere that VN police certificate does not need to be submitted with the NVC immigrant visa application and only needs to be taken to the consulate. But I can't find where I read on this forum or its guides anymore. Did I misread?

Petitioner. Self-employed, own a small business registered in the U.S. Will continue business after immigration. If I'm using assets on my I-864, does my business assets count? Like, can I include cash in a business checking account on my I-864?

My wife and I are in Vietnam, and we re planning on an early 2022 move to the US. So we re thinking an interview around November or December. I m aware it takes time to get one scheduled, so I m wondering when we should submit our docs to NVC and get DQ ed. My thinking is around August for doc submission, get DQ ed around Sept-Oct, then get an interview scheduled in Nov/Dec. Are things moving this quickly at the VN consulate, or do we need to send in our docs sooner?

Well we thought we were near the end of our long long ordeal, but it seems my fiancee will have to go back to the hospital for more testing. This is Cho Ray Hospital. They didn't say anything about why they made the decision but evidently the X-wasn't good enough. She's already scheduled to go in three more times for sputum samples (Acid-Fast Bacilii). I understand this will take about 10 weeks, and if we're particularly unlucky 6 more months of treatment could be added on to that pending a positive test result. Honestly it's crushing news after the enormous wait, I know we'll manage but it's very very disappointing. My question for the forum regards the faster alternatives to the Acid test, such as the skin test or the blood test. Does anyone know if these tests are even available in HCMC? And if so, are they acceptable to the US consulate/government? My guess is we're stuck with the slow test. Is it possible or even advisable to start treatment immediately just in case? Anyone have any experience with this situation? Thanks

We've been married since 10/12/2019, we filed and our AOS was accepted and ready to be scheduled for an interview on 2/7/2020 but we haven't received an interview date yet. My question is simple but I can't find the answer. Does the 3 year clock to file N400 for naturalization start from the day we were married? The day her AOS was ready to be scheduled for interview? Or does it not start until she receives her Permanent Resident Card? I'm hoping it starts from our marriage date since the wait time for an interview can be as long as 35 months and if it takes more than 2 years to get her Permanent Resident Card they skip the conditional 2 year card and just send the 10 year card. Thanks in advance.
