I-751 Packet Final Check

My wife will be sending in her I-751 Packet soon (coming from K-1), and we have been assembling the collection of materials.

Does anyone see anything here that seems unnecessary, or that you think should be added?

Here is what we plan to send in the packet:

  • $680 check ($595 application fee + $85 biometrics fee)

  • G-1145 (people disagree on if this is necessary, but it seems like they'll still take it, and doesn't hurt if sent)

  • I-751 Application Cover Page

  • Form I-751

  • Permanent Residence Card copy

  • Passport Biographical Page copy

  • Marriage Certificate

  • Photographs from Wedding Ceremony/Reception

  • Lease agreement from jointly rented property when we lived there (lived there 2019-2020)

  • Deed, Mortgage statement, Homeowner's bill, most recent electric bill statement for jointly owned property where we now live (bought 2021)

  • Mortgage Preapproval Letter (issued in August 2020)

  • Joint Bank Account Statements for (roughly) every quarter since marriage

  • 401k statements showing each other as beneficiaries for each others' 401k plans

  • Joint health insurance
  • Tax return transcripts for 2019, 2020 (since marriage)
  • Honeymoon trip September 2019 (flight, hotel, and pictures)
  • Trip to see wife's family January 2020 (immigration entry stamps, flight itineraries, photos
  • Trip to see my family for Christmas December 2019 (bus ticket)
  • Trip with friends November 2019 (bus ticket, photos

It seems good enough for me, although I'll admit that evidence from 2020 is a bit more sparse than I'd like. But still, between the January trip, August Mortgage Letter, and quarterly joint bank account statements, I think there's still enough evidence for that year. I think we also might have a few more good joint photos from 2020, although they don't have the same supporting evidence in terms of flights/receipts/etc.

Chinese Police Certificate

US Immigration has just informed us that we nee a China Police Certificate for my Vietnamese wife. She stayed with me for about 2 years while in I was working Shanghai. She first had 2 China L Visa from July 28 2010 to Oct. 28 2010 then Oct. 7 2010 to Jan 7 2011. We also had a Residence Permit issued Nov. 9 2010 to Oct 20, 2011. I cannot remember all the sequence to this. I have read that the Chines will not issue any Police Certificate for any Issued Visa. L in her case that covered July-Oct 2010.

How to get Police Report for the time indicated in the Residence Permit from HO CHI MINH?

What will US Immigration say about the time in question with only a Chinese L Visa issued and shown in previous passport that we still have?

Many Thanks

Jerry
