US Immigration from Vietnam

Hello everyone,

Woke up to an RFE notification on our case status this morning. Our timeline is: I-797 May 16, Scheduled Biometrics May 24, RFE sent May 28. I am a bit confused, as we have only received the 797 in the mail, which was Sat the 25th. I had assumed we were at a standstill until biometrics are complete. We did not submit for EAD or AP, just the 485 and 864. I make 7x the poverty level cutoff, submitted last 3 years of tax transcripts, employment verification, etc. Can anyone shine some light on this? I know I have to wait to actually receive the RFE, just wondering if anyone has heard of one being issued prior to biometrics.

Hi,

I received my letter from the NVC and am trying to register my Fiancee's delivery address so that she can receive Packet 3 for the instructions on applying for the Visa, Pre-interview checklist, and appointment scheduling. I am currently stuck on the first page as it asks for the DS-160 Confirmation Code, but we have not received Package 3 yet so we can't apply? Have any recent Vietnam K-1 applicants figured out how to register the Fiance/Fiancee's home address for Package 3 delivery? Do we follow the instructions and complete the DS-160 before receiving Package 3?

Five years, alot of paperwork and a few thousand dollars. My wife took her citizenship interview this week and passed. Now just an oath ceremony left and then citizenship for her and her daughter. Will be good to leave USICS behind. Keep it up the rest of you. There is an end in sight.

Good evening everyone. We have finally arrived at the AOS stage and I am a bit confused. Do we receive a new case number/NOA1? My bank account was debited for the Elgin lockbox today but I didnt receive a text/email notification. I am curious on how to check our case status?

Any suggentions of how to solve NVC upload issues? I cannot upload any documents to include the I864 or tax documents etc. All are under 2 MB and .pdf format. Tried on two different computers and same issue. Anyone experienced this and if so, please let me know the fix. Thanks.
